The reason for not being able to figure this out was, as usual, the dictator. The patient had a pheochromocytoma and I accidentally found this in my drug book looking up something else. Ready:
PHENOXYBENZAMINE.
I spend quite a bit of time trying to figure out what the dictator was saying, on my time, of course.

Anyone Who Does Or Has Previously Worked For Spheris....
Mar 09, 2010

I am wondering some things about them....like is their testing easy, hard, average, etc?  What do they usually pay MTs with 3 years exp?  Is the work a steady flow or mostly steady?  If you work part time, do they generally have you work 8 hour days for a few days a week or do you work 4 hour days for 5 days?  How many lines are you required to do a day for part time?  How many for full time?  I have not heard the best about them as far as making money goes, but I ...

Did You Previously Have Humana Health Insurance, Before Working For M*Modal?
Jul 26, 2012

Sorry to be repetitive.  I posted this on the Main Board but haven't gotten any responses there, so I'm re-posting it here where more M*Modal folks might notice it(?).   I got a letter a couple days ago from Humana about a rebate for a portion of the health insurance premiums which I had at my last job--the rebate apparently required  by the Affordable Care Act.  The letter has a lot of additional mumbo-jumbo, not all of which I understand.   It says to "cont ...

Alpha/iMedX
Oct 24, 2014

An acquaintance of mine got this message from Alpha (now owned by ImedX). There has been a lack of work since ImedX took over countless VA hospitals that used to be handled by Alpha.  In short, U.S. Government is now paying a foreign company, using taxpayer money, while causing unemployment for Americans, and the so called Americans working for Alpha/ImedX are assisting them. As you know, the workload for the accounts in which you are providing services has been low over the past several month ...
