I have worked for this company twice. Both times they started out with a fair amount of work and I met the required line count of 4500 per pay period. BUT...after a while...they put you in a work pool with way too many in it. You do not make the line count requirements and you get nasty emails.
I would NOT recommend them at all! They do not care about their contractors!
Does anyone have any information on this company. Someone told me they were great and I should apply. How is work availability? Management? Pay? Thanks. ...
Not much in archives & I just started IC with them as a temp position until I find something better. The pay is not great but it is per 63 character line count and the acute account I'm on double spaces PE section so that helps. Platform is DocQscribe which has to be the easiest one I've ever used out of M*Modal/eScription..etc. The speech rec is not as precise as eScription but on the + positive side this IS the 1st company that doesn't QA NITPICK unnecessar ...
I wrote this essay about the negative impact VR and outsourcing has had on this field. I thought you guys might appreciate it.
HOW TECHNOLOGY KILLED THE MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTION FIELD
Long before I began working as a medical transcriptionist in 1993, others had been making a good living in the field for many years. For those unaware, medical transcriptionists (sometimes referred to as medical language specialists) are responsible for producing patients' medical records.

Hi folks - Well, astonishingly enough, I just got hired as a brand new MT at a private facility, with a pretty good salary & full benefits. I was just certified last year, and all I had was a strong letter of recommendation from the Director of Medical Assisting at the JC I attended, my externship experience (online with ZyloMed) and the 4.0 GPA on my transcript. No paid work experience. You could've knocked me over with a feather! I really can't belie ...
Anyone here work for MDI- Medical Dictation Services, Inc.? I did years ago, and I'm filling out an employment application. I need to know their contact number and zip code. It seems like there was something about them merging with Transcend last year or so, so are they known as Transcend now? Thanks so much for any help you can give. I'm googling it but not having much luck. ...
Does anyone work for or have worked for MTS (Medical Transcription Services)? Please tell me all of the good and bad things about this company. Thanks in advance ...
Just wondering if anyone has heard of this company at all? I am trying to find some oncology transcription work and came across one of their older job postings on the Internet. Thanks! ...
Any information on this company? Do they hire transcriptionists for their accounts or are they some sort of a medical employment agency? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much. ...
Dear Alice,
You are aware that you are not, in fact, the owner of the platforms as mentioned in your ad, right? We are not that naive
"MT Force Communications, which owns our well-known and widely-used platforms, eScription, Dictaphone Enterprise Speech System and Beyond TXT." ...
Has anyone had any experience or know anything of Medical Data Services? I am a recent graduate and was referred to them by my school.
Thanks for any input. ...
Has anyone ever heard of this company? A little worried because when you ask about pay no one is sure when you get paid. When you talk to another person then you get the pay dates and the excuse is because the are a new recruiter...okay..They pay different than most places by paying you a flat fee per job and about 60% of the notes are templated out. Just want to make sure they are legit. Do not want to work for free! Any info would be appreciated. Feel free to email me if need to. T ...
7 cents a line for independent contracting and for radiology? What is going on with this business? The hospitals at least treated us with hourly wages and health benefits. Now what gives? For years we fought in-house over knowing that you cannot treat radiology the same and line count it the same either, yet you work just as hard. Now, 7 cents without taking out taxes? Every hospital I know has no transcription radiology department any more anyway, so may ...
I was wondering, is anybody making any money at all on voice? I keep hearing just minimum or maybe a little more. I call minimum wage 7.50 to 8.00 an hour. My experience with it was at one point I was told that I hadn't made enough for minimum and they had to do make-up pay. So how is everybody's experience with voice? I run from it, and I just want to know if anybody really can make an money? Thanks. ...
Supervisor is harping to get our "availability" filled out on Schedule Source as we get ready to start the swamp board. Maybe it will clear up after coffee, but just looking at it, I don't even get how to fill it out -- all the off and on and some kind of numbers. I am tired of new and improved, I guess. ...
I recently accepted a position at a local hospital after nearly 9 years at my current job (long story, involves outsourcing, blah, blah, blah). My new position wil be VR editing and this is a first for me. The platform being used is Ex Editor. If there is anyone out there with experience wtih this platform and can offer some insight/advice, I'd appreciate it. I've been working with ExText at my current job so I think the very basics will be close but as I said I'm new to editing s ...
Wouldn't it make more sense if, with our improved digital and fiberoptic technology, the reports sounded BETTER instead of worse? I guess it is more about convenience -- they can dictate in the bathroom, on the soccer field, in the locker room, checking out at the grocery store, or riding a motorcycle. . . ...
our sound quality is so poor most of the time. You ought to be able to hear clear as a bell, but I think it is worse than in the olden days. Sounds like everybody is across the ocean, talking between two tin cans. ...
I know they are based in my state of California. I tried to apply with them when I first started working on-line. At the time they did not want a newbie, though I did have about 25 years of experience at that time. Of course they were right about me being newbie to on-line transcribing. Now it makes me laugh. ...
