Was the recent account lost, their ortho account? I was thinking of applying but don't want to waste me time if they don't have their big ortho anymore.

I asked a similar question and was hired to do one of their new ortho accounts. Apparently, the lost account was a clinic group that was on EditScript and Nuance got the business. I am on one of their new accounts and it is going great. I understand that they have a few other new accounts that they either are recruiting for now or soon will be. Go for it if they sound like a good fit for you.

Not sure what that means. I am still working on the Transportal account that was supposed to be gone by now. Got laid off and then got an email a couple days later asking me to stay on temporarily until the account is completely gone. All Editscript work is gone I guess, but there is still Scribe work. Just wondering what PITA is since I have never heard of it. Thanks.

They appear to be losing accounts left and right. I'd stay away. The keep quiet about losing accounts until it suits them to tell their MTs and then lay them off. Very unfair to their MTs. No warning given.

Just got hired with them... and I'm on my last day of the first pay period... and let me tell you!!! If you get an offer... RUN!! It sounds good, but is far from it! Their sound files are horrible, they don't pay you any kind of training pay ( which I mistakenly MISSED on my part!! oops.. won't make that mistake again), and only give you LIMITED WORK while on QA review which amounts to like 200-300 lines a day!, and.... they have no account specifics whatsoever f ...

pay 8 cents a line? This is awfully low for an IC position isn't it? I mean, when you are IC don't you have to pay your own taxes and have no benefits at all? So in essence it's a lot less than 8 cents. Are they out of the their minds or is this how long IC jobs are paying now? Around 10 years ago when I considered an IC job it paid 13-15 cents a line to offset. ???? ...

i had a job interview with Transportal's recruiter this past week and one of the things she mentioned is the fact that they will require ICs to purchase Errors and Omissions insurance. She said that by February 2010 the government would be requiring all IC medical transcriptionists to have this coverage. I work for Transportal and recently one of my accounts went from drowning us with work to NOTHING. I haven't had any work now for over a week.
