Does Transportal have own accounts? - sm

I know places like Transcription Doctors, etc, work for the bigger companies like Superior Global and then pay the MT less. Does Transportal have their own accounts or are they hired by other companies. Anyone know?

When i briefly worked for them, i was in contact with only 2 women, DH and the other i forgot her name. The account they put me on was not their own. Just because her QA had to fill in some blanks, she cheated me out of my pay, not paying me for the work the QA had to do, which was NOT stated in my contract, I let it go and just told her I would pray for her. It wasn't much but at the time, I landed a very good job and did not want the headache of $60. I did try to tell her that she was not being fair or right. All the while she professes to be this all time big time so called Christian!!! yeah right.

I'm finding more and more of these companies are doing this. It is just getting ridiculous.

I used to work for them and was cheated out of pay, too! My line counts and their line counts never matched up, and I got the run around when I asked about it. Platform is too open to everyone, and I caught another MT in a report I already did and submitted! When I let my AM know about this, nothing was really said about it. I think there were MTs jumping into submitted reports and signing their initials to it to get credit for them. I refuse to work for another company from now on that uses the Scribe platform!

Also, AM and HR did not show any concern about this issue when I brought it up to them, so I feel they have their "Pets" and allow them to do this to other "unsuspecting" MTs. Not me! If others feel they can trust TransPortal, that's their business, but I did not by any means and left.

They used to be a REALLY good company. Some personnel changes in the last year have changed that some. There seems to be a lot of micromanaging going on.

I was never cheated out of pay in any way and not sure where the Christian comment came from but we never discussed religion either.

My biggest beef was work availability and being talked to by my acct manager as if I were a mentally disabled child. Not sure where she went to get her mgmt training but I'd say it wasn't popular.

I'd recommend giving them a try if you need a gig. Just have a back up.

Just got hired with them... and I'm on my last day of the first pay period... and let me tell you!!! If you get an offer... RUN!! It sounds good, but is far from it! Their sound files are horrible, they don't pay you any kind of training pay ( which I mistakenly MISSED on my part!! oops.. won't make that mistake again), and only give you LIMITED WORK while on QA review which amounts to like 200-300 lines a day!, and.... they have no account specifics whatsoever f ...

pay 8 cents a line? This is awfully low for an IC position isn't it? I mean, when you are IC don't you have to pay your own taxes and have no benefits at all? So in essence it's a lot less than 8 cents. Are they out of the their minds or is this how long IC jobs are paying now? Around 10 years ago when I considered an IC job it paid 13-15 cents a line to offset. ???? ...

i had a job interview with Transportal's recruiter this past week and one of the things she mentioned is the fact that they will require ICs to purchase Errors and Omissions insurance. She said that by February 2010 the government would be requiring all IC medical transcriptionists to have this coverage. I work for Transportal and recently one of my accounts went from drowning us with work to NOTHING. I haven't had any work now for over a week.
