Nuance eScription users? - anon

Posted: Mar 24, 2015

I am wondering if there any Nuance employees that are on eScription accounts? What is your experience? Is it better/easier/faster than eBtxt? Are you able to make a decent line count?

I just saw this, as I do not come to this board often--sm - anon

I was on eBtxt and moved to eScription. Overall, I feel it is a better platform. The speech wreck does a much better job of getting doctor's names right. There are a few things that I preferred on eBtxt but not too many. I did have to spend some time changing my shorthand entries as headings did not need the styles. At first, I had problems with shorthand in eScription but I found an FAQ that told me how to fix the settings. The biggest thing of course comes down to what account you end up on as far as line count. There were also a few things not addressed in the training that would have been nice to know like the command alt+Q to see the queue. All in all, moving to escription is not the end of the world.

Any Other Escription/EditScript Users Notice This???
Mar 17, 2014

Most of you know who I work for (Acusis).  I've never really paid much attention to lines on my timesheet cause I had always reached my daily goal in ES.  I do work 10 pm to 2 am so I realize my count may overlap into the next day.  However, I 'really' noticed for this past pay period, that the timesheet counts(which are uploaded by my supervisor which she gets from the client) were off from what ES had(I logged in and checked each day for the past pay period) to th ...

Nuance EScription - Does Anyone Here Currently Work
Oct 01, 2012

Does anyone here currently work or previously worked for this company. Was notified today this company has taken over transcription for my job. They are supposed to keep us on but would like to know something, anything about this company such as how they are to work for, pay schedule, assigned shifts or not, etc. I am currently home based and pretty much work what ever hours I please as long as report types I am qualified to do are covered. Please? Thanks! ...

What Companies Use EScription BESIDES Nuance
Nov 10, 2014

I'm not too fond of Fluency/DoQscribe.  The platform itself is nice, but it doesn't seem to be as good at speech recognition as eScription.  Fluency is very user friendly, but when I worked at MM it produced horrible drafts on speech recognition.  I know that could in part be attributed to multiple MTs using a variety of editing styles, which could cause the platform to not learn, but all I know is it was a struggle getting a good line count with VR on Fluency.  Can ...

Has Anyone Heard Of Nuance Escription Service?
Oct 02, 2012

Has anyone heard of Nuance escription service? Apparently the hospital I transcribe for has decided that they don't want to use the contract service I am currently with and are going to this. My current employer tells me that the pay rate will be less than what she pays which is .10 a line. I can barely make it sometimes on that. I'm not sure how I will do on less pay. It does have more benefits, but I can't pay my bills with those. If anyone has any kind of info on what they pay ...

Nuance - Escription - "Special" Foot Pedal
Jul 11, 2013

Hi!! We had our meeting at the hospital today with Nuance about being onboarded with them. We were told by HR that the hospital will let us keep the computers we have been working on, but that Nuance will be sending us the "special" Escription foot pedals. Is this true? I have never worked on Escription before. Does it require its own pedal? I am so heartsick about this transition but at this time, I have no other options. I am going to go into this with the thought of doing my work, ...

Any BayScribe Users Out There?
Sep 04, 2011

I started with a company using BayScribe.  I have a rather unusual problem.  The BayScribe expander will not function in the document.  I can bring it up via Control F3 and can add entries, but they will not expand.  When my machine is entered remotely, that user IS able to expand, but within the same session, I still cannot expand.  I have uninstall, reinstalled, Norton off, IE setting fine.  Toggling on and off makes no difference.  I have been troubleshootin ...

I'm trying to get a new system set up on my new computer and was just curious about Benchmark.   Does anyone currently use it and, if so, do you find it a useful resource?  I hate to spend $200 on something that isn't actually helpful and a time-saver.  If you use it, can you share which features it offers that you find the most beneficial?  And, conversely, if it has any features you find not so helpful?  Do you consider it to have been a good investment? Condolences To XP Users
Jan 12, 2015

I just have to send out some Monday wishes for all those with XP who woke up to a nice e-mail that they would have to acquire a new computer.  Considering it is barely after Christmas, and it just is one thing followed by another, I'm not sure how they expect you to do this on less pay, and I'm sure this created stress for a lot of people. And I just thought some warm wishes and prayers in your direction were warranted this morning.   :(   ...

Question For EditScript Users
Sep 29, 2010

Does anyone know a way to get around the lock on copying or printing documents transcribed in EditScript?
