Does OTI use Bayscribe for all of its accounts or just the new one they have hired for? nm - Curious MT

the new account that has seemed to be so overloaded wasn't even montioned as having work? This has always been my experience when I get put on a new account. I hope for the new hires, there is enough work to go around.

it's been listed as behind for days and days. This happened to me on a couple of accts I worked on for them. I think they just put a slew of people on the acct and people get better at it, and bam, no more work.

I wish the new workers good luck. I'm still hanging in there, but barely.

My current FT job is always out of work so it is more like a PT job, and my other 2 PT jobs are pretty flexible. I am starting a new FT job soon, so I am not sure what that will be like. The OTI thing seemed like it would be easy enough -- only 3500 lines a week that I can do whenever I want (except 2 hours has to be over the weekend). But we'll see ... might be too much.

I am not particularly organized, but I do try to do my work in 2-hour stints of "power hours," with no fiddling around on eBay (or MT Stars -ha), or any other distraction, just total focus on work. Maybe because I am getting older, but it seems to work better for me to work hard and then take more breaks. I also do not have a family or anyone else to consider, so I can work as much and whenever I want (except my doggie is here, but she doesn't mind ... more money for treats for her ... LOL).

I'm still in awe of how you coordinate it all :-) I try to work in blocks, too, but the most I've ever had is 2 jobs at the same time, which worked while they both actually had work and was able to coordinate them. I have a husband here, but he pretty much does his own thing, so... May be coming on board with you, will see how it pans out. Have a great day!

This is their MO - historically, this has happened to many, many MTs...promised the world and then BAM, left high and dry - do NOT trust them

That account is on a "different side" of Bayscribe,(different log-in page) so whoever sent out the update on that email probably just didn't go check that out.

I was out of town overnight and came back to several emails about the backlog, as well. There's tons of work on the account, no doubt about it.

If you are not on the account then mind your business. That new account happens to have work continuously but we sign into it a different way and it DOES NOT show up on the Bayscribe system or work in the same way as the backlog inquiry. It has its own entity so the job list does not justify it. Also, someone on here continues to post every little thing management says such as what information is given in emails for ICs working for them, etc. I think someone needs to mind their business and stop gossiping so much about "they said this, they did that, " etc. Come on - get a life and work instead of complaining so much. I think OTI needs to get rid of these people and let the rest of us work.

I was just reviewing the compensation Webinar again and noticed there is no listing for Bayscribe accounts. Does it fall under "3rd party platforms?" I was moved off Bayscribe accounts years ago but just curious - are there plans to get rid of Bayscribe? I have a question for all MedQuist MTs . . . I called them and was told that I qualified and passed MedQuist's test. That was about a week ago. I was told that I am still being "considered" and "reviewed." One recruiter told me that it would just be a matter of time before they could get through all of the paperwork. Does anyone ever get hired from these companies who are continually posting help wanted ads?!?!? I have applied to at least 15 companies posting ads for help only to sit here waiting for at least 5 weeks, so far, for an answer to any for which I applied! I have been a MT for 30 yrs. I had to stop working 4 yrs ago due to health issues, then finally had 2 surgeries which pretty much took care of the problem. Eventually I was able to take over the general practice but had to give it up because my husband's health was critical.
