You had an unfortunate experience, but in my opinion, you brought it on yourself in being overconfident and too hasty. You took a course that could be completed in only 4 months, which should tell you something about the content. That you could only take the CPC should tell you something else. With inadequate preparation and credentials, yes, you WOULD have limited job choices and a lower income.
Coding is far from boring -- you just didn't learn enough to do interesting coding.
