…And do the hiring for the practice, and you’re here asking for advice? If you haven’t caved to the “EMR hype,” you must not be accepting Medicare patients. My opinion is that if you are only hiring for one location, bring someone onsite and pay them by the hour. Templates and macros add up to nothing and it would be difficult for an MT to make any money being paid by the line. If it’s part-time, you wouldn’t have to pay benefits. If it’s a large practice with other locations, how are the other MTs being paid?
