I have landed a job with Pearson!!! Do you guys realize that there are two Pearson Transcription companies? If, for instance, you interviewed with a man, you are not speaking about the same company. I just wanted to make sure you were aware. I have been LOADED with work since I started, hence the reason I have not responded to the silliness of the post I am commenting on. Once I interviewed with Tracy, I have come to realize that the only reason even half of the horrible things stated about her on here have to be because someone either got let go, or they simply did not or could not do the work. I am finding the guidelines very easy to follow, the templates are premade and easy to follow, and I get paid for the template that I don't even have to type. Also, as far as not getting paid if you quit... Well, it makes sense to me. We are independent contractors, and if someone is going to spend all that time training us (which they should not have to do) and we just quit, the money paid to the person who wasted their time with training needs to come from somewhere. I don't mind that at all. As far as the Olympus software... It is not a requirement. It is a suggestion. The reason it is a suggestion is because there are companies who are now using more advanced dictation software and Express Scribe won't play everything, whereas Olympus will. Tracy just asks that you come prepared. As an independent contractor, we should be prepared with the equipment needed to do the job, right? To finish up, I am thinking that the mature thing to do if you don't like the way a company is ran or the expectations they have, then just kindly move on. All of this ugliness was mostly lies. I am so thankful that I chose to send in my resume. Tracy is a wonderful, kind, God-fearing woman, and so far, I have had nothing but truly pleasant conversations with her. She is far from "overbearing."| Oh, the silliness of people who just simply didn't get their way. If you are looking for transcription work, I can tell you that Pearson is LOADED with so much work right now that I have been busy nonstop since the minute I started. But please, only apply if you have a positive, friendly attitude and really want to work. If that is the kind of person you are, you will be very pleased, I promise you. I hope this helps anyone who was thrown off and misled by so many ugly comments.
