I completely agree with your analysis. I work 6 hours per day, 5 days per week and bring home about $300 for 2 weeks, with the current poverty wages of 4 cpl VR and still after 20 years or more, only 7 cpl for transcription. I am, as you are, worn out. I started out locally with cassette tapes, earning 8 cpl per line a couple of decades or so ago. At that time, pay was per gross line and I earned an excellent paycheck per week, but my boss was not greedy or taking advantage of her ICs. A couple of decades or so down the road, now, pay is less! How can this be? There are no raises, no anything - no light at the end of the tunnel. I just do it until I find the right job - no way am I staying in this business.
