You are lucky - Working fast food

I don’t go to McDonalds often, we have 2 large stores locally, the drive throughs are always really busy. Truthfully, I’ve never heard of anyone delivering trays to people’s seats, usually they give you the tray when you order and pay because the food is prepared so quickly, or they will call your name and you go get the tray yourself and I think most fast food employees multitask to a great degree due to budget restraints, especially in areas with higher minimum wage. I hope the manager isn’t BS-ing you just to get you in the door. I’m glad you’re willing to try something new, it does sound perfect for a retiree. My opinion is that you’re way over qualified, but maybe that’s what you want at this time in your life.
