Apparently you are still accepting the mistreatment but I wouldn’t expect that to change, unfortunately the work can be offshored or automated even further than it already is. You list a number of skills and talents and there are many jobs outside the home that pay decently and have benefits. I was forced out of MT due to a layoff but understood that it was never going to be the same again, and I found another job in medical records that pays well; like you, I’m responsible for my own finances. McDonalds sounds like a good opportunity, although I’m not sure it’s everyone’s cup of tea. You will need to decide if staying in MT is worth it to you, but trust me, there are other jobs; you could leave and never look back.
