Refurbished computer and Intel i5 processor - okay for VDI? - OldMT

I am getting sucked into the VDI vortex.  I don't really have a choice as I need the job too badly but I am wondering if the computer I intend to buy is gong to work. I went to a store and a guy told me how slow it would be yadda yadda but he was trying to sell me a more expensive computer.

The one I'm looking at meets all the requirements listed for VDI. I am just wondering if the Intel5 processor and older refurbished computer will work.  The salesman acted like I would be pounding out hieroglyphics on rocks using an older computer.
