Is it legal for companies to not pay for headings that we type - just curious

Posted: Jan 3rd, 2018 - 8:18 am

I dont understand how they can get away with not paying for something we are required to type day in and day out, on every single report.  Sometimes their stupid archaic software imports the headings, sometimes it imports the wrong headings, but probably at least 50% of the time we have to type out the headings ourselves.  And then of course on the typed reports we have to put in the headings 100% of the time.  And we don't get paid for the headings on ANY of the reports, no matter what.

How is that legal when you are paid by production?

It's bad enough we don't get paid for ADT, and that is pretty much every single company, right? All the time wasted putting in ADT info is $$ lost.  But stuff in the report, that we type in the report, that shows up in the report, SHOULD BE COUNTED IN OUR LINES PRODUCED.
