Not with Nuance, but I left a job once with 2 weeks' notice. It was more than 30 days later when I received a notice about signing up with COBRA. However, they required an immediate payment of over $1300 to avoid a lapse of coverage. Nope, couldn't afford it.
So, you may receive the COBRA notice, but not immediately. They just require the signup and premium payment out of your pocket IMMEDIATELY, and it's likely to be very expensive.
