Instead being passive-aggresive and not working your schedule, how about a more direct approach: Call and/or email everyone from payroll on up stating that being paid on Friday is unacceptable, citing your own personal reasons why. Ask to be paid by tomorrow at the very latest. Who knows? It can't hurt anything. Being paid on Friday will make it 3 weeks between pay checks--and I imagine that last check went mostly for Christmas, didn't stretch very far. Just a thought.
