sole proprietor, you can use your SS#, but if you use contract labor or employees, you must have a tax ID#... at least that is the way I understood it. But I may be wrong. and you must file a 1099 if paying someone more than $600 per year.

i agree, i think she is trying to get work done under the table, as well. I do not think it is any type of "permanent" position.
