that there is something else shady going on. How big is her company? Could she be laundering money? (I am currently working with a criminal lawyer, so I think in these terms.) I think there is something more to this story. You need to be very, very careful and steer clear. If she is the subject of an IRS audit, you do not want to be named a party defendant for accepting payment in this manner. My best (non-legal!) advice is this: RUN!
