It seems no one is safe anymore, no matter what the occupation--more so for us rural folks, as job opportunities are incredibly limited and competition is so tight.
So many people, in all different lines of work, are working 2-3 part-time jobs and without any benefits because full-time jobs are so hard to come by because, well, employers are cheap pricks.
This new-age global economy of ours is both a blessing and a curse.
