I have hearing loss, 25 decibels short of disability qualification. - sm

I use a Boostaroo amplifier. Plug it into the computer and plug my earbuds into it. It clarifies the sound and boosts it 100% without distortion. I used to have the volume settings all the way up but with Boostaroo, they're set at a little less than 50% and rarely go to 75%. It's been a lifesaver for me.  They're available at Radio Shack and on line in all kinds of places, Amazon, their own website, etc.
