I punished no one except the cheaters and would-be cheaters. Anyone doing honest lines saw absolutely no difference in their pay from my counting by VBC instead of character and space.
All of you, please stop projecting your issues with the people you work for onto me. I couldn't agree more that the industry is now dominated by greedy corporations run by MBAs looking for a way to cut salary expenses to the bone so they can pocket all the profits from their employees' increased productivity. It sucks. In fact, their shenanigans suck just as much for small MTSOs competing for business as they do for their employees. You only have to look at how few small MTSOs are left to see that.
