I think the need for medical transcription (editing) will be here for a long time - HOWEVER -

the pay will never be like it was.  It is going to be a supplemental income ONLY, for instance, if you are retired and just want to make a little extra.  

I feel bad for anyone new falling for the ads of these online schools still saying you can make this a "career" and make 40k per year, etc.  It's almost criminal what these schools promise.
