If you are retired and don't have to do it, why are you? You talk about how much you hate it and have even said so to the people who want to hire you. Point blank, your attitude is crappy. If you want to work, maybe now is the time to try something else since it doesn't sound like you really need the income. I've been an MT for as long as you have and I'm in my last gig. When I retire, I won't even think about doing this job, regardless of how well someone wants to pay me. Good luck finding a client who isn't a pain in the neck, most of them want things done their way, not the employee's way.
