Hey, I'm retired - Retired MT

Posted: Dec 11th, 2015 - 1:00 pm In Reply to: Question - Unbelievable

If a client comes to me, and is willing to meet MY terms, and my pay requirements, I might consider doing some work, but not full time, and probably just temporarily. You're right I don't like it, and I'm certainly not going to do it for pin money/stipend. So I don't care whether you believe me or not, this is how it is for me. The point is the original poster said that in the future people would do this for a little bit of money. Well those of us who can afford to do this for a little bit of money are probably not going to do so, anyway I'm not. Pay me what makes it worth it to me to do it, and maybe I will do a little work, but if I think the client is going to be a pain in the neck, or I don't feel like it, then I won't no matter how much money I'm offered.

I am retired, I do not have to do this, and after the way this industry as screwed us all over the last 10-15 years, I don't feel the slightest bit charitable!
