Because that is also too variable....needs to be a certain number of LINES per week and same for everyone across the board, every single time (maybe within 50 lines or so)....Otherwise, it just gives them too much leeway to manipulate everything to THEIR advantage, which they so very obviously are doing....
As for your mistake, if the client doesn't want that expanded it shouldn't have been HOWEVER -- it still doesn't merit a penalty as there is absolutely NO patient safety issue. That is a mistake that should just be called to your attention so you don't do it again.
All of this is a joke to even talk about though. We can talk about what is fair and what isn't until we are blue in the face, but this is EXACTLY the way Nuance wants it. How else can they save so much money?
