NEW review time - transgal

Posted: Feb 26, 2015

I hope everyone had a great week last week, because your compensation for the week of 3/6 is now going to be dependent upon that compensation rate.  "Great news," they're going to allow a long time for OUR review process, so in order to implement it, they're going to use the 2/14 - 2/20 pay period for the compensation rate two weeks from now as part of the implementation.

That means, if you transcribe 10,000 lines and even if you get 100%, which should be 1,255.00, if you had an error of any significance LAST week, you're going to be paid based on that, i.e., 800.00.  A loss of 455.00 for ONE WEEK!!!  That doesn't even call to mind the additional losses for shift differentials.

Anyone read this differently than me?  Am I mistaken?  Please tell me they can't arbitrarily cheat you out of $455.00.

Sounds right to me....I don't even try to understand - because if it is their idea

you can guarantee they have yet again honed their "safety plan" to save themselves even more money by cutting the MTs' pay.

Patient care my foot - MT

If Fiesa and the changes were really meant to be for patient quality care, then explain to me why nothing is in place for these horrible, poor excuse for dictators who cannot even complete a half sentence????? Why are they ONLY focusing on the MT?

Patient Care .. - Dotty6

Because medical transcriptionists as a group are a powerless group of female workers; key word "powerless" and we are not the ones bringing money into a facility, period. We are more or less "nonapplicable."

Change certainly was not for us - ANON

[ In Reply To ..]
IMO, this never was to benefit us, it's so the ones doing the time cards/reversals have more time. It is up to Nuance to have the work force to take care of this to start with...but we know all about Nuance, and the ability to hire a work force that do not make mistakes. Funny how the MTs, the ones bringing in the money, are the ones that are scrutinized, stressed out to the max, taken away from production for tasks that should have never been put into place, and are punished most, while they put into place people correcting our reports that we have to continually put in reversals for because they are wrong, but yet, what happens to them?

And surprise surprise - I bet we are all low

[ In Reply To ..]
You remember all those who were thrilled with the new pay plan? My income was up initially, but cancelled out by OOW all the time, yet still a lot better than it would have been.

So now I will have the crap pay plus the no work, yay. But it's all my fault, right?

I will confess I have tried to worship at the altar of FIESA and mea culpa. Eventually you realize they will ALWAYS find that error because the whole point is to pay you less and blame it on you. There is really no way to predict sometimes what they will find, and don't think you're not doing your best, you are. They should NOT be able to cut our pay for errors, they just should not at all be allowed to do that.

There is a significant lack of work though, and as you said, crickets about it, so are they planning to dump us and in the meantime lowering our pay so they pay less UE?

I would be interested to know those of you who are getting partial UE, have they put up much of a stink about it?

Mine is 0.08 also... - did we ALL have a bad week last week?

[ In Reply To ..]
I only had 2 reports audited - usually have at least 3, 4 or 5 - I just don't care anymore....but I am curious, since it appears they will use that score for 2 weeks, did we all fail to get above 0.08?

Mine was 0.08, too. nm - wannie

So interesting, mine was 0.08 too - down from 0.11 last week

[ In Reply To ..]
So now I guess we know what the real new exciting pay plan is:

1. 8 cpl, nobody allowed above that.
2. Do NOT send a lot of stuff to QA or you will make only 7.0 cpl, no matter what the circumstances.

Now THAT is much more in line of what I would have suspected, but as per usual, smoke and mirrors galore.

The 11 cpl was good when there was no work - made up for it a bit, but now...

Oh gosh I hate this.

Bad Week - Nikki

[ In Reply To ..]
You could try not sending ANYTHING to QA for a week and take your chances they may or may not catch it in Fiesa.

I'm taking blue flu next week. Low work, new transcriptionists on the account, and THREE TIMES last night, someone was cherry picking, leaving eight foreign-dictator discharges for American dictators. And la-dee-da- This morning they're out of TAT - Fancy THAT - their own fault.

Well, since we KNOW we're only making .08 on whatever we make next week, I'm focusing on quality, and my lph rate and the newbies might just be stuck with bad dictators, cuz I just might take a break when I see a bunch of them coming up! Not really, I don't have that many hours in a day, but blue flu is the way to go.

Curious thing too - Anmt

[ In Reply To ..]
Since this week's score is going to be used twice too, it seems more people on our team are out sick or lost their internet. Less reports typed, less chance of errors, better score? Of course it could just be a coincidence, right? Nah, I don't blame them, I should call in sick too, might help my score. But you better believe if I ever get 100 or a high score on the grid again, I am gonna work my little fingers off that pay week, even if the next week is off the grid.

I kept my 100% last week - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
It worked out to 0.119 cpl for me

Unfortunately, I was only able to get in 15 of my 35 hours, so it's not like I'm rolling in the dough over here...

bad week - transgal

Did you get a late audit too? I got two reports reviewed, for 100%, and then WEDNESDAY MORNING,FIVE DAYS after the end of the pay period, they reviewed ANOTHER report, a LONG report by a dictator I've done ONE TIME before, a difficult dictator, and I got a "major" error. They didn't want to pay .1255 for two separate weeks, so there you go!

Was this in an email? - This is new info to me.

Is this for a certain platform?
