...to please be straightforward with you. Ask them if the server is having trouble. Ask them if there other accounts you should be training for if the one you are on is likely to be short any more this week. Send your email with a delivery confirmation attached, and if you do not get an answer in 24 hours, send it again but attach a copy to your HR person. If you do not know who that is, ask your supervisor for that too! Call corporate and ask for someone in HR and get them to send you a copy of the chains of command for both your supervisor and the HR staff. Escalate your emails to each new level with each passing day. 

Also, please understand this is an Indian company, and it has been operated this pitifully for at LEAST the last 4 years that I know of. Look back at previous dates. Search for any date (format any 'ole date like those you see printed here, make one up). Believe every negative comment you come across. These people did not take the time to post this stuff for their own health. These people typed what they could without naming names (unfortunately the board won't tolerate that) because every single day a new sucker is taken in by deceptive  business practices.

Keep copies of everything saved to your hard drive, not just in the email server, so that even once you are gone and happy somewhere else you can potentially participate in any legal action taken by someone in the future. Back up your hard drive to an external hard drive, and by all means NEVER ever respond to any email sent to you through this board, they use that to block your access to this board and FIRE you.

I was a "takeover" from a hospital which was taken over 2 times before. Long story. Anyway... The work was awful at Nuance, pay was awful, but there was work. Then the work started going away with no word (within 6 months). I emailed sup to say, "Hey, I think maybe my pool needs tweaking. I'm not getting this (insert type) work anymore." She replied very honestly that the work had gone away. When I asked where, I was told India. As I recovered from that shock (yes, I was naive), I started noticing more and more going away and didn't bother to ask about it anymore. When there was no work to the point where I was getting in maybe 3 hours a day (when before the hospital had more than enough work and then some every day), I quit. No, I did not give 2 weeks notice. They gave me no notice that my work was going to be gone, not even so much as an email. And why? Because they didn't want to "scare" anyone. Yes, they didn't want anyone into finding a better job. They needed us all for the grunt work that India couldn't comprehend or complete. They needed us to be at their beck and call for mandatory overtime. Why shouldn't I give what I got? They didn't deserve my 2 weeks'.

Went to a nice company after that, which lost most of its work. Went to another company after that, decided it was a nice place but not for me (bored me to tears), so I went to yet another company. Found out shortly after going to this final company that the other one had laid off a bunch of people, so I dodged a bullet there. Current company has work, but they are not necessarily what I would call honest or reputable... So guess what? I'm trying to get out of MT/QC for good. Just FYI, I used to love, love, love the job. I still would if it weren't for the low-balling, insulting, demeaning pay, you know, the kind where you can't even afford groceries but somehow make too much for "assistance," holes in the bottom of your shoes, head always aching wondering and worrying how you are going to pay rent/mortgage?

Long story short: Nuance ruined this industry. If you were not in the industry before Nuance, you have no idea how good it USED to be. I'm happy for the new people, only because they don't know what they are missing. Pat yourself on the back, N. You destroyed us all.

I was so dumb and still thought they might be different after everything I read about them, or I just wanted everyone to be wrong about them. I've been here for 6 months, had plenty of work in the beginning, now get no work even when I ask, and the worst part is I've turned down a job at a doctor's office and a hospital since I've been here. That won't happen again. They're about to lose another good employee. Please never work for Nuance people, don't even consider it. Believe everything you read!

I was not forewarned, but I don't know if that would have changed my decision to go with Nuance or not. I'm a glass half full kind of person. Some things you just can't decide on until you experience them for yourself. I also think maybe some believe this board is just for crotchety old ladies who complain about the sun shining. Not so. If I get even 1 person to turn around and run, I will feel vindicated.

I am new to this MTSO so I have occasional questions and have directed them to my supervisor.  Some get answered, many get ignored.  I have asked some more than once.  How frustrating.  I'm not sure how to take this.  I would think it would be to her advantage to answer them as it refers to formatting, etc.  Maybe I should ignore her requests to work extra hours?  How would you handle this?  It really makes me wonder about this company. ...
