Anybody else get the e-mail message regarding NJA and changing schedule? What are your thoughts?

wondering if seniority will be taken into account? don't know why they want us all on second and third as they keep running out of work as well.

wish they would let us in on what is going on and let us be part of the solution instead of acting like we are the problem.

Sitting here becoming more and more stressed. Family is sick and tired of me being depressed/stressed over work. More and more people in my area are losing their jobs in this economy. VERY FRIGHTENING!!!!!!!!!!!

I already work 2nd shift and have just enough work as it is. Am expecting NJA to happen to me soon too. I hear you about the stress, it's really getting to me, yesterday, had to ask myself if I really am depressed. My answer was yes. I don't know how much longer I can keep doing this. They are pitting us against each other, for what? So she can get her TAT bonus? Does she really think people who work 1st shift are going to change to late night/overnight? I worked the graveyard shift for some years and would NEVER go back. I'd work McD's before I did that again. I guess I needed to rant too. I think a lot of us are fed up, frustrated and depressed, and just know you are not alone in this.

India's 1st shift, so you'd think they'd need us more in our daytime hours than overnight. The whole thing doesn't make any sense at all.

2nd/3rd shift work - too many workers

There is NOT more work during 2nd and 3rd shifts. NOT People are going to be forced to work this shift -- or be fired -- because there are a few clients sending in work between 10 pm and 4 am, stats even, and the bosses are PO'd because the turnaround is NOT ON TIME! That means you will have to sit by the computer waiting for a job to show up, just so it can be done on time -- especially all the stats. Since 11 pm this evening, I have done 6 dictations -- all ASR, all STATS, for a total of 17 min of actual work time -- but I have been sitting here since 11 pm and it is now 2 am. Hmmmm. 17 minutes of work in 3 hours. So when am I supposed to make up the time missed from working my shift??? Hmmm -- will I lose my FT benefits now? Hmmmm

Nothing new as I never do from my lousy TCM. I am not changing my shift. I only work three days a week now and I do have a life. I will stay the shift I have and they can pay me my benefit rate times four hours. I am not working different hours just to appease them and their TAT

I haven't received an email from my TCM in over 3 weeks. Guess no news is good news. NM - anon

or states get their benefit rate x 4 hours for running out of work? Oh my goodness - I need to move!! I get 15 minutes at minimum wage when I run out of work - pointless!

California - hardly worth it to move though. It is EXPENSIVE to live here. - anon

Hope you have some extra money to eat or you'll get skinny real fast. Cost of living is insane, gas sky-high. Be happy you don't live here. When I get another job, going to save money and move to Arizona.

A small 1 bedroom in my area is $550, but trying paying that with NJA and 1.81 a day!

reorganizing due to all the work that went to India. I think ours was one of the first to go through this. It was horrible for awhile, no work for several months, but now things are settling down. I have plenty of work now. If people don't volunteer to move shifts or teams or whatever they ask, they will pick and choose. Honestly, this did seem to help in the long run. They just sent so much work to India that they now have to reorganize us here in the states. I'm sure it will happen again next time they send a bunch over there. It is their goal, after all, to have most of the work in India.

I received a call, changed my schedule and still have no work. No need to check on weekends either because those scheduled to work those days will run out if we log on to try to make up time. Seriously thinking about partial UE.

An MT supervisor told me that when they aren't happy with an MT's work because they aren't following instructions or are getting sloppy, they just take them off the schedule. Sometimes they do it gradually and other times leave them with little or no work. They keep the work for the MTs who are doing the best job with the least fuss. Interesting. ...

I recently started a new job and at first had a really good mix of good dictators, middle of the road dictators and bad ones. Just the normal stuff. It's a new account and I was asked to provide a list of the doctors who were good dictators, which I did. Now, after providing the list, I get none of those dictators on that list, and I mean NONE.
