My Supervisor Has Too Much Time on her Hands - prissy

If I take a bathroom break, she calls me to see what's going on. "I noticed you had logged out...what's going on?" Can't wait til they screw her over too. I've had 8 supervisors in the last year.

I don't usually log out for a bathroom break, but last week I was sick so took a 10-minute break. I feel like I'm under constant surveillance. I've been working for this company 10 years, so I don't know why she treats me like a sneaky schoolgirl.

required by law to give 10 minute paid breaks every 4 hours, but now there are only a very few states that require this. Breaks are considered an agreement between the employee and employer now and is based on state regulations, not federal.

I just never answer my phone when it's her number, let it go to voice mail, and I never call her back. She locked me out of the system once until I called her back. She's nuts.

Tell her about your chronic diarrhea. go into detail about the amount, the color, how often. Or your periods. How you have to change pads every 15 minutes. Describe the clots, etc. It would be even more effective if your boss was a guy, but should work all right with a female.

I'm not saying in any way that "prissy" is cherrypicking, but there are those MTs who log out and then back in, trying to get a better report. I read a thread the other day on this board that MM is cracking down on this. I'll bet your supv was told to do exactly what she did.

I was posting because I didn't know there was a way to cherry pick in DQS, but you say logging in and out is the way. I didn't know that.

I will log out and back on to get a shorter report if I am towards the end of my shift and a really long job comes up. I have to pick up my kids from the bus, but I don't want to stop early and have time to make up if I can avoid it.

She didn't say she repeatedly logged off and signed back on. She said she signed off and the CCM immediately contacted her...crazy.

are you allowed breaks? are you supposed to take them at a certain time? are they only supposed to last so long? I personally clock out for a few minutes each hour, but I have a great CCM who would never micromanage this way.

I am a concerned IC. I would like to keep my job(s) as an IC and actually still have MTSOs be around to provide jobs. With all of this garbage constantly going on and hurting the businesses, I think that there needs to be some recourse for the MTSOs. An MT supervisor told me that when they aren't happy with an MT's work because they aren't following instructions or are getting sloppy, they just take them off the schedule.
