Any time a supervisor controls your paycheck with the flip of a - pool switch, you know the system is rigged.

Posted: Feb 28, 2015

...it shouldn't be THAT hard to investigate if someone wanted to, right? Let's say you normally transcribe for doctors in work pool

A

A

A

A

with near flawless quality and nearly consistently turning in well below 10% of all lines, and suddenly you find yourself typing pool

B

B

B

B

and there goes both productivity and QC percentage? What can ANYBODY with a calculator be missing? Honestly, how hard is this?

Everybody who even pretends to care must be totally stupid. Not ignorant, stupid!

Either stupid or flagrantly operating as if they are above any - accusation of impropriety.

Hope those words aren't too hard for them to understand.

The whole pay system is screwed up. They are - able to manipulate it by the

number of lines in a report that are audited. This shouldn't be the case because it does not level the playing field. Susix x may have 4 reports that are 150 lines each audited and still maintain her required quality even with a few minor errors. Jane x has 4 reports that are under 50 lines each audited with the same couple of minor errors. She will flunk for quality and be paid less. How is this fair or equal? I would love to know who exactly came up with this mess. It is not concrete, you are not in control of your line rate as they say you are. The whole grid thing is a total fiasco. They should have thought all of these things through BEFORE rolling this out. I can't wait for the lawsuits to eventually come and I do believe they will at some point. You just can't put out a pay plan and not have it fair and equal for all just because you never thought it out completely FIRST.

Right, this latest assault is just the latest manipulation. - As if they needed yet another tool.

...way too many "matrix" numbers can be manipulated and don't matter anyway. Since when has it ever been a good idea to "punish" an MT for leaving blanks? That just feels completely unethical to me when it comes to patient care.

I guess all our contracts are null and void - nm

Contracts? Employees do not have contracts...I bet contractors get priority - over employees also. Would not

...surprise me at all, as contractors are not paid benefits and likely considered more valuable.

Supervisor Says I'm Wasting Her Time Asking Questions
Sep 23, 2010

I got an e-mail about procedures for canceled reports and when I asked the CCM, I didn't get an answer. Then I e-mailed the mentors (for when we need to talk to somebody about a problem), and she was responding to the mentor e-mails. She said " I noticed you asked the mentors this, so again, you are asking and taking up 3 people's time."   Actually, I only e-mailed her and the mentor. Every time this one lady dictates a report, she spends a lot of time with side conversat ...

Flip Switch In Order To Use 2 Computers
Oct 29, 2012

Just bought Flip USB with audio KVM switch in order to be able to have 1 dedicated computer for work only and the other computer for unrelated work items. Have never used one of these before and just wondering if you were in your work program on 1, if you switch over to the other computer for say checking email, does the work computer shut down? I would hate for that to happen and perhaps lose work. Thanks. ...

With A Pool Flip Of The Switch, Certain People Starve While Others Do The Work.
Oct 15, 2014

...budgets, forced early retirements, repossessed cars, mental distress...none of it matters to them. No supervisor has ever been held accountable for their deception, and no HR person fired for covering up for the crooked supes, indeed; the supes are given advice as to how best get rid of people without firing anyone. Just switch their pools, change the accounts they type on, they'll leave on their own. Your replacement is already being recruited and hired, people!  One week ago, a r ...

M*Modal Zoom & Audio Controls - Sm
Apr 19, 2014

I'm using M*Modal platform for the first time.  The biggest time waster is that only about 1% of the dictators enter demographics.  In the RIF screen to search demographics you cannot play the audio, only in the report itself.  Each time I have to exit the report I lose all settings for audio and zoom level and have to reset.  Does anyone know if there is a way to have both the report and the RIF screen visible at the same time?Anyway to set the point size for the displa ...

Badgering Supervisor
Jul 26, 2011

Does anyone have any ideas of what to do about a supervisor who always says, "It is a privilege to work at home".  She threatened me that I might have to come in-house to work because I complained about my keyboard no longer being compatible with the new computers.  I have to work weekends in-house on a rotating schedule.  I also said it is difficult to get readjusted when you go in house because the work station is different.  I should have never complained because now she s ...

An MT Supervisor Told Me (Regarding MTs Who Aren't Doing Well)
Mar 12, 2010

An MT supervisor told me that when they aren't happy with an MT's work because they aren't following instructions or are getting sloppy, they just take them off the schedule. Sometimes they do it gradually and other times leave them with little or no work. They keep the work for the MTs who are doing the best job with the least fuss. Interesting. ...
