Cant they just give us some peace and quiet for a change? No more 15 emails a day about what each doctor wants, no more canned emails about what everyone is doing wrong, no more Boost, just let me do my darned job.

A Christmas miracle? Maybe???

It is providing me with the documentation as to how bad the accounts I have to do on ASR. I have half the target inactive time and yet, my production is low. It is also lower than the MM mean which, IMO, shows I do not have typical ASR accounts- That they have worse than most. Although, if I were meeting the average, it is still minimum wage. Not much incentive to work hard.

Tried asking my QA TL who my Boost person was and their email address as the MM email dumped it in their last email clear out, but that has been met with silence.

It might get me fired in the end, but, after all this time with ASR and it never learning or getting better, I rattle doors whenever I get a chance. :)

I agree, since being dumped into the cesspool - when the work dried up...

...my average counts dropped significantly and my inactive time raised up significantly. This is due to being on new accounts and having to read extensive client profiles. I showed this proof to the unemployment office. I guess MModal does not understand that even though I am working my full shift, I am able to collect partial unemployment because my wage dropped so significantly that my checks now are less than they were in my highest quarter. Thanks MModal for providing me the proof!

I had one session, they said it was mandatory. I kept a good attitude even though it was waste of time. I told her I have problems with combination keys and she told me it doesn't really matter if I use my mouse and continue doing it my way, whatever is best for me. What a joke!!!

I had lost alllll hope of ever getting out of here and this biz, and a non-MT online resume I put out there got noticed.

It's sooooo easy to stay in a comfort zone, whether it's a good zone or a bad zone. It's hard to get out of the comfort zone, even if the "zone" is the pits.

I have now taken the uncomfortable plunge out of MT after 16 years of being an MT.

Life is full of changes and hardships. DO NOT stay somewhere just for comfort. Weigh it all out carefully. I am not a gambler, but I have found that I do need to take a few risks in life and not stay in the comfy (often bad) zone.

I did that going into MT initially 16 years ago (when it was a good thing), and got out of my comfy zone of doing clerical work. Now, unfortunately, have to be uncomfortable once again, and go back to clerical work for practical reasons. I have not worked in an office in ages, as in before computers were commonplace in offices, so it's quite scary right now. But, I'm OUT of this MT mess.

You can be, too. I do recognize that some are handicapped and aren't very mobiel. Also, many live in remote areas where it's a long haul to the nearest place of business, let alone find one that needs help. That is a rough situation, not sure what I would do there. Heck, you could move,no?

There is absolutely no way that reports picked for Fiesa QA are random. QA is SUPPOSED to be random. I have noticed over and over again that when I get a report with 100% QA, another one will be picked, and another, and another, one week even having 11 reports pulled! Don't you love the long and drawn out explanation of the BOOST initiative. They have a VR program which is frequently only 10% correct, misses entire phrases, creates entire sentences without one correct word and they want to boost our production by having us never remove our hands from the keyboard so we can all develop carpal tunnel at a faster rate. Well, it finally happened. I got the e-mail from Boost saying I had been chosen to be mentored. I don't understand. I ALWAYS get my line count and more. I always type my hours. I have had some good numbers on the Boost reports, one 5, one 3.5, but I have also gotten two 1s, as I do not speed the report up during the report, and I don't use the arrow keys to go to the beginning of the paragraph and such. This is a measurement of the amount of audio that is replayed, keeping the highlighter and cursor together and moving smoothly throughout the report. If you keep the highlighter and cursor moving steadily throughout the report with less stopping, then there is less audio that is replayed, allowing you to complete the job in less time. Boost didn't help me like that at all. In fact, it didn't make any difference at all in my production. Only learned tricks to keep my inactive time showing as less. Also, according to statistics given in the statistics report, I am producing about the same as most others - which is still minimum wage (in my state). Did you know that minimum wage will be raised from $8.00 to $9.00 next month, at least in California? So I wonder what that means for Nuance. Ok, not sure if I'm the only one who had this initial perception of the mentoring program and the BOOST initiative, but it is my impression that during my mentoring session it was kind of IMPLIED that if our inactive time decreased our pay would go up...me thinking my daily pay for SR. Inserted in there ever so sneakily from my mentor is the fact that the inactive time has NO BEARING WHATSOEVER on our daily production pay! I have a Boostaroo and it muffles the audio when I turn it up on my headset. Some of these dictators go back and forth in volume and I have caught several mistakes I made on deciding what I hear.
