2 week notice? - mouse

For those who have left MM, did you give 2 weeks notice and were you able to finish out your 2 weeks? I have another job offer I can't refuse and I don't even know who I turn in a 2 week notice too, and I'm nervous about being able to finish out the 2 weeks, or do they just let you go right then? Any experience on this would be of great help.

Congratulations and lucky you!! I posted a 2 week notice question below and somebody stated that they may tell you that you can finish out the pay period or finish out the week and let you go. Is your account super busy? Mine is not at all, so I think/hope when I give my 2 week notice they just let me go. I have plenty of vacation time.

Thank you so much! I did see the posts after I posted my question. My account is a roller coaster...we are either blown away or super dead, which means all kinds of accounts from everywhere. I never know from day to day what accounts I will have. THis has been a year in the making for me working prn on my day off for this doc. I hate to leave working from home, but MM has given me no choice. Best of luck to you too!!!!

I hated to leave working from home also, but I must say it has been wonderful so far. Only been 2 weeks, but I am a different person.

Hi Mouse, I left MM last August when it was still MQ. I didn't work a 2-week notice, more like a few days because the day before I gave my notice I logged on an my account was gone (EPIC.) I gave notice to my CCM and told her I didn't see any point in my sticking around when I'd have to relearn something to repalce my primary just to stay busy. I had plenty of PTO built up, so I took a few days before starting my new job. I was, however, blessed to have an awesome CCM who had come over with me from Spheris. I got my PTO pay too. So I guess the answer is to be polite, explain WHY you HAVE to leave, and do what is best for you. I figured no one gave me notice my account was going away, not even a few days like I gave them.....

2 weeks. Then I promptly got my last check and the PTO hours. Got a call today wanting to know what I wanted to do with the 401k. I must admit, it has not been bad.

I don't see why an MTSO would even want an MT to work another full 2 weeks after they decide to quit. It seems like a lot of people would just not care enough about whether they're meeting the quality standards or how many reports they send to QA, etc., etc., during whatever time they had left.

yes I understand what you're saying. I really am not expecting I'll get to stay the full 2 weeks. Either way it will be ok. It's their loss all the way around, not mine.

Yes, I gave a 2 weeks notice in December, you turn it into your immediate supervisor. I thought I had a wonderful opportunity with a clinic opening up in my area and the NP offered me a position. Well the other girl in the office did not train me like she was supposed to so when the clinic did not pick up like I guess they thought it would, I kept being sent home and as you know you can't work like that, so I was forced to come back, but unfortunately, I did not get my previous acct or my previous schedule.

I am working 2 jobs right now. I am making a lot more with my second job and would like to just be able to concentrate on that one but the problem is that it is an IC position. Good grief. I did not change the way I edit. It so depends on how many commas they think you should have. Yes, I made an unusual (for me) mistake last week, but the rest of passing an audit is dumb luck of whether you get a realistic auditor or Ms English wannabe. In almost every ASR report lately, there have been gross errors in the dosages of medications. In 1 report today, it had Colace 70 mg when the dictator clearly said 100 mg. Then in another report, it had Protonix 3 mg daily when the dictator said 40 mg daily. Watch your dosages closely!!!! Something is up! ...
