If resign within 2 months is a 2-week notice required - New to the Q part time

e-mailed CCM Monday but have not heard back.  Need to mail back equipment.  Anyone know what the procedures are.  I am waiting to hear back from CCM before doing the 2 weeks, because don't want to if I don't have to.  I have received 2 weeks of training pay at $10 per hour.

If your CCM is like mine, you never will hear back. I'd say it's up to you. Do what is good for you. Every potential employer in this industry will understand why you quit MQ. When I tell people I work at MedQuist, they laugh. I've been here for 3 years and I am soooo close to sending in my resignation today. I have another FT job, but was wanting to also have a PT job. Also, when you mail back your equipment, keep copies of the paper work. Many have been contacted and told they didn't ship the equipment back, and they did! Good luck!

It's true what the others here are saying. In this biz, either you know it or you don't. Based on that, you'll be fine, wherever you go.

I was very fortunate to have good supervisors along the way, though. The Q has treated them unfairly, too, from what I understand.

They have yet to request their junker PCs back. They can have them. I'm using my old PC now, but will be getting a Mac before long.

I would like to know if there are any US-based MTSOs left. I may need to wait a little longer.

My best advice is to leave whenever it is best for YOU. MQ has never given a big rat's whisker about employees other than how to use them. (I was with them for 10 years.) If you feel like leaving, do so at YOUR convenience. One word of caution: If you have any of their equipment whatsoever, return it to them by some means that requires them to sign for it and get a receipt. They have been known to threaten to sue employees who had already returned materials of theirs. They tried it with me but I had a signed receipt so they backed right down. Congratulations in getting away so fast and good luck to you!

I have a bit of a dilemma. I took on a 2nd job with a very nice (albeit small) facility.
