Has anybody ever heard of The Transcription Center out of Mansfield, TX. I saw an ad looking for PT 0.08 cpl. I am curretly working for 0.07 cpl and have been for three years. Locked in at that rate in the contract. Just wondering about the company before I attempt to switch. The place I am with right now has steady work and are pretty good to work for, but that 0.07 cpl locked is kicking my butt!

If they are subcontracting under Superior Global, be very careful because work comes and goes accordingly - unstable like the weather. SGS QA stinks like you cannot believe. Even though you work for a sub, have a different employer, SGS fires those MTs because they feel like it - they don't want "those people" so the subs are CONSTANTLY hiring. Find out more about the company before jumping ship.

Go to the job seeker's board and check out how often Transcription Doctors is posting for jobs available. They are a sub under SGS (SGS is based in Plano, TX by the way). If you notice, she is advertising about every other day for probably over a year. Why is that?? Why can't they keep people? OH...that's right...SGS in Plano TX is firing people faster than subs can hire.

Just be careful.

Are you sure they sub from SGS? I mean, it looks like they pay more. - Makes me think no.

I think I saw the ad but I am not sure if it mentioned VR or not. They would be my first clue and then using the eScription platform but I do not think they get work from them but you never know.

While working for SGS, I worked for Transcription Docs and got caught, written up, banned from working for subcontractors, had to stay at SGS. About a month ago, I asked Dawn if she was hiring since I don't work for SGS any longer. They refuse to give me Escription log ons, said no.

They work on hospitals in Dallas, McKinney, Arlington and Plano - SGS accounts.

Last year, I did encounter 2 more companies, but I don't remember which ones they were. After Transcription Doctors, I started asking companies that use Escription if they are independent or sub for SGS to nip the interview process in the bud.

Mistaken identity-Transcription Docs and The Transcription Center are not the same company - Easy mistake.

Too many sound alike companies out there. The Transcription Center if out of Texas and not associated with The Transcription Doctors.

I used Transcription Doctors as an example of a company that does sub under SGS. Is Transcription Center a possibility? Yes...Mansfield isn't far from the area that SGS has deeply saturated, landing TX accounts so Trans Center may be a subcontractor. SGS has hospitals in Arlington, McKinney, Plano, Dallas, among others. Their corporate office is in Plano, TX. They maybe one of the other companies that sub under SGS - that's all. I ran across a total of 3-4 last year. Transcription Doctors was one of them - I cannot recall the names of the other onese.

I have no idea what SSG is, but The Transcription Center is a very nice, solid company. The owner is extremely nice to work for. Please send me an email if you would like more information.

It should have been a red flag when the S/O stated that this client could not find reliable help, that every kept quitting or just not signing on to work when they were supposed to. Would someone explain to me how is that this company can legally pay us a lower rate for ASR compared to transcription?
