SoftScript--anybody else threatened with termination? - Pondering

My QA score has always run about 12% (SS requires 8% or less to QA) since i started. My trainer told me I had a very difficult account and not to worry. Since then they hired a new producion manager and the percent to QA  has apparently become an issue. I generally get 99% to 100% on my QA score and an email thanking me for the great job (automatically sent, I know).  Today I got an email threatening termination if my score did not comply with the 8% by the next pay period. I know it can't possibly drop 4% in that time period unless I cherry-pick like you wouldn't believe, so should I take them seriously and start looking for another job??

Softscript micromanages everyone. Every micromanagement email includes threats. If you are working on a difficult account, you can submit a list of job numbers including account number, "new account", etc. in log form to your production manager and she will deduct the number of jobs listed from your QA submission. Hope this helps.

I feel they are a fair company overall and they always pay on time or ahead of time.

I very recently left SS of my own accord. I have always gotten 98.9% or better QA score. The last 6 months or so, work has slowed and I've spent many days and weeks with no work. Last QA score was 97.9, put on QA hold, next one 96, threatened with termination. I found another job right away. I terminated alright, w/o notice which I ordinarily would never do, said I couln't live with the threat of "termination" all the time and having to make up work on days off. Seems to think "threatening" us will make us better when, in fact, makes us worse. I just didn't care anymore.

I have not worked at SS, but the same thing happened to me at Keystrokes. My QA score dropped from 98% to about 95%. They decided to put me on another account which was supposedly easier -- not so. In fact in ways it was worse, because the Team Leader or supervisor was never there to help. Also training was awful and the platform was worst I have ever worked on. I told them with almost no training and no one there to help ever, I could not possibly do well on this account. I feel like I was being set up to fail. In that way they were justified to fire me, but no I resigned before they got a chance.

These companies are very conniving and they will find a way to get rid of you, if that is their intention.

Sounds like these people were trying to get rid of you. Just saying. I think you were well within your rights to leave w/o notice. This is something I have never done and do not advocate, but I think you were right this time.

Has anyone ventured towards anything like this?  I feel VERY strongly that I was wrongly terminated, but I really do NOT want to work for the company anyway, but with no income, I am not sure what to do.  I do not like the fact of them getting away with what they have done either... GRRRRR!!!!
