Looking for information about Softscript.  I have tried searching the archives and cannot find anything current.  Just generally looking to see if they are a decent company to work for.  Thanks for any and all information!!!

Hi. I worked there for several years, up until this year I loved it. This year they had restructured, fired my PM and I had another 1 for 1 month, then she got fired too. Liked the next one they brought in but- had received bonus every year for 6 years, graduated. Went part time then back to full time, lost ALL my benefits, had to go back to 90-day holding period, no benefits at all even though it was a status change. Lost all my seniority on PTO accrual, had to go back to 1.3 hours I think it was. Next, there was not enough work to keep me busy full time and after my 90-day re-intro period got a letter saying I wasn't performing FT. I was QA, would have somewhere between 0 and 5 QA hours, then would MT. Haven't gotten a decent line count since 2012. There was always an email from my PM saying if we were OOT, let Q manager know and they would put us where we were needed. Apparently some people were getting regular lines but I sure wasn't. The last day I logged into my email I had a note from my PM saying that my biggest account had disappeared and they assumed it was nothing we had done.
BENEFITS:
1. Insurance didn't hardly pay for anything, but was fairly inexpensive at 70 a PP for 1 person but there was a 3k deductible so I still could never afford to go to the doctor.
2. PTO accrual started at 1.3 hours per pay period then went up the 3rd year.
3. Retention bonus started at 250 on the 1st anniversary of your hire date and doubled I think after the 3rd year. This was in lieu of raises. I think they may have discontinued this because when I said something about it to the kid who answered the phone in HR he didn't have a clue what I was talking about.
4. There were production bonuses in 3 tiers per PP after approximately 10,000 lines for MT and approximately 18,000 lines for QA. I say approximately because I don't have it copied off so I can't give it accurately.
5. You have a certain percentage you are allowed to send to QA, and you have to keep logs and turn them into your PM; from what I read on here if you go over that for 3 pay periods you get fired.
6. HR - Never fared well with the HR guy, he wouldn't talk to me on the phone and had one of his minions put me through to voice mail and then never returned my calls. That seems to be a recurrent theme.
7. Accounts - I had 33 accounts and still ran out of work. I did QA2, QA and MT and was still making less than full time work.

SoftScript - just started working there - txmt

I started working there 3 months ago. Personally, I hate it, but that goes for all MTSOs. I have 4 accounts. When I run out of work (which is rare), I don't notify anyone because I don't want another account. My accounts have 10-20 pages of account specs. Some of the accounts have specs within the specs like, expand all the abbreviations except for Dr. Smith, or use colons after the heading unless it's Dr. Green. Stupid stuff. Also, my supervisor doesn't answer e-mails because she gets so many. What difference does that make, she doesn't answer them anyway? However, they don't offshore and don't use voice recognition. The only thing that really bothers me is the account specs; I think they should standardize. I have an interview with Nuance next week, but from what I hear, they pay less, and are jackasses, and use voice recognition, and offshore. Overall, I think SoftScript is one of the lesser of the evils.
