Landmark NO WORK on "'NEW ACCOUNT" - bandmomof3

Here we go again! Same story, different day, week, month or year it seems! Landmark hires 40+ MTs for a "new hospital account" and the work trickles in like water out of a cement block! Why hire 40+ full time MTs to cover what is soooo obviously an over flow account? why promise work and talk of "worried we may not have ENOUGH coverage....." if you know you have a slew of MTs trying to make an honest living on an account you have so totally overstaffed its ridiculous! PTO when you type 1000 lines per day.... Id love to get back to typing my 1400+ lines per day that Im used to and the PTO would be an easy thing to make, except im DARNED LUCKY if I can get 500 lines per day! No one will ever meet requirements for PTOs at this rate.... of course Im sure thats the whole point! Jump ship now girls/guys, if you haven't already! LM has another one sinking fast! Of course we will hear from the same HAPPY MT who posts against all the other negative stuff posted about LM, but why is SHE the only happy mt they seem to have???? You never hear from anyone else!

I was there like 2 weeks for a new account and got tired of no work when I went on, I think maybe one day had a full shift. I was really bummed too because the dictators were awsome!

people they have hired in the last quarter of 2009 and how many are still there? I dont think they are advertising for help currently, are they? hope not. If so, hope the applicants will see this and know to STAY AWAY!!!

Sorry to hear that they pulled this same nonsense again. But 40 MTs to cover an account? Obviously, they just want to have really wonderful turn-around time. They could care less if the MTs can make a living or not.

This is the same story that has been going on since this company started. And the story about how they want to run their company like the 'good ole days' before they were all bought up by the big guns. Do the math. I don't believe the owners are old enough to have been with the original companies before mergers and buy-outs to add up to all those years of experience that they proclaim to have.

I was never able to work full time with this company. Many days, there was no work at all. How can one pay their bills with a company like this?

Use this as experience and remember never to quit a job before you've tried the next company for about six months. It's not easy, but it's usually safer to work for more than one company at all times.

I am a new employee to Landmark, and I love working for the company. I get above and beyond my 1000 lines, and since I have started in September I have never not had any work, actually the accounts I am on are so busy, I don't know which one to do first. Try working for Transcend, you will love Landmark after you have worked for them. If you think it is better somewhere else, then go right ahead.

I work for Landmark full-time and, with the exception of the Christmas holidays when no company has enough work, I have been fine.

The owner loves to hire - she is addicted to hiring and thinks it is exciting. Apparently has overhired for this new account. Treats the business like a hobby, not a business. Maybe sometimes can get a line count if you span babysitting your computer 27/4 to wait for a job to drop your way, but most of the time not.

Anyone else suffering from this at Landmark? Worked for company for almost 10 years as an employee. Now all of a sudden they lost an account, have no work available to compensate for it. Notified us by an email which I personally never received. Asked if I wanted to be put on a waiting list for new work. Are you serious? Landmark is hiring for a Bayscribe Oncology account. Just a heads up, I currently work on a Bayscribe oncology account for them and I NEVER EVER have work! I made $237.00 for the last 2-week paycheck. I don't know if it is the same account they are hiring for, but even if it isn't, I have asked and asked for a new account, getting no response. Once again, we aren't allowed to work on my account due to low volume. This is about the fifth time in the past week. I've only been with Landmark for 6 or 7 months and I'm really starting to regret taking a position there. It was great for the first few months, but then the work started disappearing. is pretty much a bitch-fest, at least it is some sort of contact with other MTs... oh excuse me... MLS. I have never worked at a place where there was so little contact, no feedback, no sense of teamwork. Yes, too much oversight with TLs hovering over you is oppressive and you may say... that's okay, I'd like that, just leave me alone to do my work... but really, it's tough to feel totally isolated, anyone agree? ...
