Losing Account-Landmark - FrustratedMT

Anyone else suffering from this at Landmark?  Worked for company for almost 10 years as an employee.  Now all of a sudden they lost an account, have no work available to compensate for it.  Notified us by an email which I personally never received.  Asked if I wanted to be put on a waiting list for new work.  Are you serious?  I'm just baffled that they have gone to treating their MT's this way as they have been nothing but great to work for in the past.

It was Bacharach Bayscribe account.

I was informed yesterday that, effective next week, June 2, Bacharach outpatient will no longer be dictating to us. Please let me know as soon as possible if you are interested in being placed on a waiting list for additional work.

Some MTSOs actually close, or lay off employees, if they lose an account. Once an account is lost, the only option is to give the MT other accounts. However, that decision would just result in those MTs on that account also out of work/low work. It sounds like what is happening with Landmark. If they give you another account, those MTs currently on that account would be affected. I think they've done what they can - offer to put you on a waiting list. Sorry about the situation. I know how it is. I recently started working for a great small company I really like, but ever since we lost the account I was hired for, I've been dealing with sporadic workload on my secondary. I don't think there are any more accounts to give us.

I worked for a fabulous family-owned MTSO for over 20 years. When they lost their main account to an offshore MTSO underbid, the owner retired. We had 3 weeks' notice to find a new job.

I left Landmark a while back due to the inability to make a decent living there, but I do have a good friend who is still there and she told me that an email was sent out for the account that she's on a few days ago stating how far behind they were and that they need more people on the account and to pass that along to anyone they know who is looking for work. Why wouldn't they offer that work to the MTs who just lost their account as opposed to putting them on a "waiting list"? Makes no sense. From what I've read on this board over the last several months, it seems like Landmark is losing accounts quite frequently lately.

I'm in disbelief reading your response. I've always been disregarded when I've asked for more work since the account I worked on really wasn't making me any money. Usually Landmark does put too many people on one account. I would love to know their response to this, but I would bet a million dollars I don't get a response from them! They are good for ignoring emails!

as opposed to not getting them. I've seen numerous emails from K that she has trouble with receiving emails. Any time I don't hear back from her I just forward the original email and try again, and she thanks me for resending since she has problems quite frequently.

I find it hard to believe that she has never received a single one of my emails. No one else ever has has difficulty getting my emails. I think it has to do with the fact that she is doing the job of at least 3 people all by herself and gets overwhelmed and either skips over some emails and never goes back to them, or just flat out doesn't answer them. I've been working here for 4 years and I can count on one hand how many times she has actually answered one of my emails. I also have tried forwarding my original email after a few days with no reply and she still doesn't respond.

I also have trouble with this woman answering my e-mails. I can e-mail her until the cows come home and she still won't answer. I find that very unprofessional. The minute I do something wrong though, boy is she quick to send something.

Her monthly emails detail other ways to contact her. Two ways are instant messenger and telephone. If you don't get a reply to your Emil within 4 hours, just pick up the phone and call her! It's not that hard!

Line count is figured a little differently for pay but overall accounts and dictators are great. Only left because of personal reasons and not company. Supervisors are also really nice.

So it is claimed the account is slow what they really need to say is we overhired for this account and it is in turnaround and we're happy but you all have to fight to meet your line counts. Landmark Frustrations - Aren't Allowed To Work On My Account Due To Low Volume

I have recently learned that I will be losing 3 of my best doctors to EMR.  Since then, one of the doctors has offered to keep me on entering the clinic notes into the EMR for him.  I would still be working from home as an IC, but would need some training on their EMR system.  Any suggestions as to what I would charge for this?  I currenlty bill by cpl.  Would I now be better off to bill by the hour?  I really have no idea how to approach this.  I have never do ...

Is it only me or is anyone else losing serious money here?  for the past 6 months I have NOT been able to make more than 950 dollars a month take-home.  now with the new program my pay is even less.  Please, is this happening to anyone else or am I being singled out.  no matter what I do I cannot make more than 220 to 250 dollars a week in may paycheck, and am onily getting paid twice a month.  I am short about 6 hours with mmodal now.  IS IT JUST ME they are doing this to?  ...

I remember the good old days, when we actually made progress in our jobs ($$$, benefits, etc.).  Now, in addition to not getting paid holidays (unless you work them, of course), employers are prorating PTO pay.  So...even if you get paid vacation time, you're not paid anywhere near what you make when you're working.  I guess the idea is to make taking vacation so unaffordable that you don't dare take it.
