pay? - frustrated again

I guess what I explained, did not post. In short, they have not paid me. Payday was last week, I worked Easter, still no pay. Have been told on 3 different occasions checks were mailed, still no check. I ended up quitting a week later now, still no pay. Has anyone ever actually been paid by them? Or should I just file a small claims case now and be done with waiting for some supposed check?

Is this the company in Columbia, SC? I worked for them in the past. They paid on time. Pay was low so I also ended up leaving. I hope your check arrives soon, but do what you have to do to get paid, especially after you worked on a holiday.

I have worked for ATS for 11 years and have NEVER had an issue getting paid. Remember that you are an Independent Contractor and although they try to pay you every two weeks, your contract states that they do not have to pay you until they receive payment and it can be as long as 60 days. Easter was only a week ago.

Chick, seriously? Easter was a week ago. Contract states we will be paid within 60 days of completed work. I've worked there for 5+ years and have been paid every two weeks on the nose, no exception. Small claims court will laugh you out of the room. Read your contract.

So you were paid on the 7th, as that is payday? Explain why I was not then? Not believing that, as they more than once actually told me checks were mailed late, after lying to me and telling me they had already been mailed. That is the issue. I have it all in writing, that they said they were mailed, were not, were, were not. Still have not even recieved a first check from them, 9 days after their stated "payday." If the 7th is payday, I should have a check to cach then, on that day.

I have worked for ATS for nearly three years now and have ALWAYS been paid for my work. I earn more money now than I have my whole life. I was hired fresh from MT school and have loved my job ever since! I earn upwards of 18 dollars an hour and have a very flexible schedule and love the people I work with. Maybe you should check your mail and chill out.

Glad to hear. You think I have not checked my mail? It is 9 days past "payday" and I still have not been paid. Maybe you should chill. If you had not been paid yet, you would be upset also.

I have worked for ATS for 2 1/2 years. Getting paid has never been an issue. The people in the office are more fair and accommodating then any other company I've ever worked with. The contract does state as far as out 60 days, but frankly that is worst case scenario and I have never had to wait that long to get paid for any of their regular accounts. If you had a problem with them, I would suggest the problem was not with them, but rather with you. You might try exercising a little self control until you're sure of your facts.

I hate to break it to those of you talking about a "contract stating 60 days," that mine does not state that. I was told and mine states that paydays are the 7th and 20th of the month. I have yet, on the now 16th to recieve a single check from them. I'm happy for you it has worked out, but it is absolutely unacceptable for a company to not pay on payday, or not care at all being the real issue. No court would find this acceptable, and absolutely would not laugh. I have already filed a claim, added court fees, and time for all of this ridiculous hassel. I have NEVER, not once, not been pain on time by an employer, many of where were and are transcription companies, so do not in any way find this acceptable.

Hi, don't know if this is the right place to ask, but two mornings in a row, I have received this in my Hotmail "junk" mail box. It says "Private Notice" and the subject line says "YOU'RE DEAD." I edited a report in which I changed leukoesterase to leuk esterase, however, when I went to upload, spellcheck found "leukoesterase" which no longer was visible in the report (at least not what was on my screen!). I went back in and deleted the whole word, then put it in again as two separate distinct words and that time, spellcheck accepted it. But what worries me is does this occur other times? Are our edits somehow NOT being recognized on the other end? Heaven know ...

I have never had this much trouble before doing my job. I will have 99% on those FIESA and then 1 report will be a C and my QA averages out to a "C" 99.3%. What happens if I never get a score higher than that? Fire me? Cool beans! Need a vacation anyway !!! Seriously, what the hell is this QC crap? So, I NEED a job! I have one, but we are ALWAYS out of work and I need some supplemental income. Slowly they will transfer accounts, one by one, to India, starting with the easiest accounts/work types first. Soon we here in the US will be left with ONLY the bottom of the barrel indecipherable CRAP........which we will have to send to QA hence our pay will be practically reduced to what they pay for Indians to do the work. A lot of us will finally throw in the towel, not being able to accept minimum wage, which will be fine with them. They just don't want it all happen ...
