I was trying to keep a positive outlook on a buy out and go with this company. The account I've worked on for years is almost gone and it sure didn't take long since the takeover. I know their pattern and how much work should be there. I'm certain it's being "shipped out" you know where. My Thursday was the busiest day of the week and has been for years. So now I sit here looking for work and getting more disappointed each day.

Manager said the only work she has is an "account from hell" and I could be set up for that pool. Yeah, like I really want to dive into that. I've already read some older posts about how that great account will vanish because "they" don't have English language skills so need the cream of the crop. Kicking myself for being stubborn and not taking the challenge of acute care when I had the chance because so many companies require acute care experience.

I think I'll be joining the many others who were frustrated and finally left. I just wanted to share this so that when someone searches about N, they will read it and make another choice. Better yet, choose another line of work if they can.

My busiest days have always been Wednesday and Thursday, and there has been maybe 15-20% of the normal amount of work on my account yesterday and today (an account which I have also worked for years... well before our buyout). Interesting, huh?

You know I keep reading that email that was sent, and this one part keeps bugging the heck out of me... where it says.... "Grid-based pay structure to allow people with varying quality and throughputs to still have a place in NTS." :/ ... to allow people with varying quality and throughputs to still have a place in NTS?? What the hell does that mean exactly?

You'll get a lower base pay scale, and "bonuses" and other add-on pay will be based on your ability to produce more than ever. Which of course won't be possible - they're make sure of that. So ultimately, you "have a place" there because you're working harder, producing more (as you try in vain to make the same amount of money you're making now), and you cost them less to employ.

how are you going to produce more? No work on ambulatory on the weekends. No work for the most part even evenings, at least for me. No work on holidays. I'm lucky if I can get in 20 hours a week being a progressive, and I am an exclusive on 3 accounts. If pay is being cut, and I am sure it is, no need working for a company that you have to pay them to work for them. I hope I live long enough to see this ship going down in flames as it sinks to the bowels of the ocean.

They had an ad posted this past week looking for ambulatory MTs promising "exclusives" and also it's listed on the Nuance job website - A posting for ambulatory MTs needed. Wonder what in the world is going on? Like what are they doing? Unless they're looking for help on the ESL account described in original post...makes no sense to me.

That would be a good question for your TSM.

Ambulatory, acute doesn't matter, it is all headed off shore once - you get VR trained and the contracts permit.

Most contracts are re-negotiated yearly, too, so nothing lasts for very long at Nuance except the chaos.

Sad truth is, you were only ever even brought on board to help train VR - to unemploy yourself.

I'm utterly confused regarding this latest merger/acquisition/whatev of MQ of M*Modal. I just accepted a position with an MTSO working on the M*Model platform. Does the fact that the Q purchased M*Modal mean that down the road I will be working for MQ? Does this mean that MQ just owns the rights to M*Model and now has the ability to charge the MTSOs obscene amounts of money to continue to use the platform? Don't get me wrong, they are nice ladies, but they are just so very clueless. I just recently got a job here and I am in heaven. I have not seen how long our pay would be dropped the 3 cents. Am I missing something? Is it just that pay period or the next week or what? I just don't see that.
