Completely different web pages popping up when I click - on some posts

I don't mean ads. I mean MTStars disappears, and I'm seeing a page from a completely different website. It does not happen every time I go to read a post, only once in a while. Has this happened to anyone else?

computer, but it's not happening on this one. It happened several times earlier today on the other computer, not for a while, then again now.

It's not happening on this laptop, and I've updated my virus program on the other one.

Is it taking you to an advertiser on the same - page as the post?

I have had that happening a lot. It seems like the "clickable range" of the ad extends too far, so you end up at the advertiser's website no matter what. It forces you to view the ad.

It is especially bad on touch screens.

I asked if it redirected you to the website of an advertiser (usually near where you clicked) on the MTStars page.

When I click, it redirects to the nearest advertiser. (All of us see different advertisers, so which advertiser does not matter.) If you go back using the back arrow to MTStars, the next time you click the post, you will get the post.

It is as if you are being forced to click on the advertisement. The clickable area of the ad extends too close to the clickable area of the post. It isn't just under the ad anymore.

I have to be careful not to touch any of the page because the stupid ads act like they are everywhere.

It is mostly with disreputable, scammy-looking ads, too. Never Amazon or a real college ... just matchbook schools, dating sites, etc.

As an example, after closing this post, I will have to be careful with the box where you type the letters to prove you aren't a bot. That box is way far from the banner. If it is Amazon in the banner, no problem. If it is a diploma mill, clicking in the box to type the letters will go straight to the diploma mill.

When advertisers pay websites based on clicks, it is a way for websites to get more clicks, I guess.

ads pop up once in a while plus that annoying survey box that floats across the screen from right to left. I guess I could turn on the pop-up blocker and see if that helps but have to remember to disengage it for another site (an EMR) I go to where I need it ON.

it's been happening all day. I blocked my popups but to no avail...it started getting so bad I couldn't get into any of the posts without getting thrown off this site--I opened a new browser and it has stopped. Maybe shut down, unplug, etc., I'll do that later. Something tells me it will be back...

And pls refrain from responses such as questioning whether we've done something 'wrong' ourselves technically or otherwise and that's why it's happening...I am sure we've all done nothing to create the situation--there is evidently something wrong with the site.

Perhaps people should 'like' this post if it's happening to them, too, and the matter will be looked into by the "powers that be." It is a new problem; I've never had it before on this site or anywhere else, it's like a 'virus' that takes you out of MTStars and into some weird pages, advertising (I guess advertising) TV shows such as Doctors, Ellen, Dr. Oz, etc. If this is happening to you, you'll know what I mean and pls like the post. It's been happening for a couple/three days. Sometimes it's fast and furious and you can't even enter MTStars, as upon entry, you're repeatedly switched to the strange pages the second you've clicked on MTStars and you haven't even successfully entered. Sometimes, you've entered the site but cannot click on anyone's post without being taken away to the 'other' pages, rendering it impossible to stay on MTStars at all. Other times, it appears to be random, and you can click on a post or two successfully but then it starts switching to the weird pages upon the next post click-on, for no apparent rhyme or reason. Thanks for your attention to the matter. Hopefully, whatever it is will be resolved soon before it's even worse...

To anyone who got the 9 pages of instructions from the new CCM: Can you make heads or tails of these instructions and screenshots!? Hit ctrl twice, then go back and make sure the old patient's name isn't in the field, then ctrl L, then fill in the dictated for, make sure it's who they say it is, then stand on your head while underwater weaving a basket... I really like the old style keyboards with the metal contacts and springs, rather than the soft touch keyboards with silicon contacts and rubber (but with a USB plug). Why is our new dictationary so useless? It shows us a mis-spelled word, so I went ahead and right-clicked on it, and it gave me no options. I mis-spelled finesteride and the correct spelling should have been finasteride. One letter difference and our brilliant Qictionary can't find the correct option??? Had to go to Google to find it, but means extra keystrokes. Why bother to highlight a mis-spelled word? ...

In ASR, it will highlight the word you double click and also it will put the audio back to that point. In straight transcription, it will highlight the word and take the audio all the way back to the beginning. And they won't fix it! - because I am never to take my hands off the keyboard???!! I find mousing quicker to follow ASR. I've tried cursor tracking, but it rarely ends up exactly where I want and I either end up having to use the keyboard or mouse (depending upon ...

Just curious how many pages the typical or average account specifics are if there is an average. Mine is 54 pages for 1 facility, IC position, scheduled shifts. I had to request a medical report for myself and oh dear lord what a mess that point-and-click stuff is. They check all items in a ROS and the thing throws it all together in giant run-on sentences, separating everything by a comma, and leaving weird spaces everywhere. There's no consistency anywhere in how it makes things look, i.e. in a numbered list that has 1., 2., etc., putting one space after the period after the number and the next one putting 2 spaces, then back to 1 space, then may ...

I think these ideas are getting used interchangeably when they are very different applications. EHR is still transcribed documents, just not paper charts. Facilities have already been on this for a good while now and the transcriptionist will basically see no difference as we don't usually handle a chart anyways in-house or virtually. However, it is the point-n-click programs that are phasing out the transcribed document. ...

I am so sick of these dictations that are less than 60 seconds long, pay from .08 to .24 cents each that require 3 minutes of unpaid work to set up.
