I have been a participant of this board for many years. When an enire thread disappears, I realize other boards are more MT friendly. I will not be back.
That's a good way for KS to get negative posts removed. - sm

If they were the ones to use the foul language, then they could get rid of the negative (are they anything but?)posts about them and blame someone else. I can see them doing that.

I have asked all the MTs who work on my accounts (I am a lead) and everyone had theirs on the 17th, as scheduled, but the MTS company had a few that did not. KS bought MTS but they are not 100% part of KS yet.

Seems to be the pattern - some people get paid, some do not (always a bank error no matter how many times banks are changed). Maybe they are so short of money they have to decide who to pay from time to time - like "Let's pay so and so, they were not paid the last time we could not make payroll." Economy is hard for companies as well as families. But, making payroll is #1.

I work for MTS and for KS and the rumors are that the old owner of MTS did something before the sale that needs to be fixed. I would not be surprised if the sale is canceled. I worked for his mom and then him and he destroyed MTS. Seemed shady too when he was running it, so not surprising. I like KS and I think they bought a company that wasn't what it was supposed to be. If **** gets MTS back and is in charge again, I will quit the day it is announced.
That is correct. There was a time when that - actually happened.

KSer's took a pay cut supposedly because times were tough and MT's submitted counts late, but has enough to buy another business - makes you wonder.
Getting bonus incentive would be nice, but at this point just having any work at all would be a welcome change. Haven't had any jobs my entire shift plus ran out on my last shift. Geez.....I hate incentive weekends. Is anyone else having the same problem? ...
There's a thread on the Coding board where someone got her first coding job and got a higher salary because of her MT experience. Finally someone recognizes that we have value. It's a shame that it has to be a coding employer instead of an MT employer, but that's the way it is. MTSOs don't appreciate their employers; coding employers do. They demonstrate that by PAYING for services done, not continuous abusive e-mail, IM, and paycuts. ...

It was a VR report that was obviously not edited or just skimmed over. I will look at other reports from this MT, and if I see more than 2 or 3 more with the same problems, I will report it. When a company decides to make an account VR, are all the reports a mess to begin with for weeks or months until the voice engine (sorry if that's the wrong term) learns from the "straight" transcription that is done? Why do different platforms matter (i.e., E-scription versus M-Modal, etc). Is it possible for a company to get an account and make it VR from day 1, or do they have MTs do regular transcription on it for awhile?

What it has done is create artificially high and unrealistic standards for the MT only so that they can find as many ways possible to reduce their salaries or terminate them if they so desire. I want to repeat this for those who may have missed it and I am not looking for pity. Was moved to a new account after 4 years on 2 very difficult accounts with only 1 or 2 failed audits (and was always given a second chance). On your average day, 5000! Now, 70. I get that its a holiday, but I have run out for 3 weeks now. TSM said they over-hired and work went to India.. well, then get rid of the new hires already. This is ridiculous. Why would they hire more when they planned to ship more work overseas? Is this to train the new hires becuase they make so much less than some of us who have been here awhile?

I am so sick of these dictations that are less than 60 seconds long, pay from .08 to .24 cents each that require 3 minutes of unpaid work to set up. This means I am only paid for one third of my time working, and that is if all their resource-hog software just happens to be working right without locking up or generation another error mesasage requiring another 5 minutes unpaid time to go through the "start ANOTHER IT ticket" process.

Why would a company hire an IC then? Because they don't have to take out taxes, (including their share of Social Security), and they do not have to provide benefits. All they have to do is cut the IC a check, and then the IC is responsible for all the taxes, including all of the Social Sec ...

regarding line counts, pay, etc. I have been a medical transcriptionist for over 23 years, have experience in multiple specialties although orthopedics, neurology and cardiology are my favorite, and I barely bring home $600.00 every 2 weeks.
