I was googling something and found this board and then noticed the Nuance board. At first I was intrigued but after reading through all the older posts on Nuance, I have to say WOW. Now I wish I hadn't have found this place. LOL.

I wonder why there is only a board for Nuance and MModal? Seems like there are a lot of unhappy MTs at these 2 companies I guess. I am NOT surprised though.

I wonder just how many MTs from Nuance actually read/post on here?

I think Nuance is also doing a lot of hiring in preparation for the expected mass exodus after these upcoming mysterious changes in the near future........

Well, my curiousity will most likely get the best of me so I'll probably be back to read more.....

Like, do not ever use this board's private email capability to privately correspond with anyone, no matter who you think you might be communicating with. It gives Nuance the ability to trace any post directly back to you.

At first you will only get this site blocked on your computer.

Also, I don't use my work computer to get on this site or anything other than work for that matter.

I can't see why someone would get fired for posting on a public board so long as it was on their own time.....

It can be a disheartening place though, lots of depressing and sad stories, but it can also be pretty helpful.

I think a lot more read then post. Nuance & MM have their own - boards because...

They are the two biggest national MTSOs, of course Nuance is bigger. But I think because they have so many MTs between the 2 of them, it just makes sense to have a board for each.

Just be careful about what you post here, no identifying information that could let on to who you are. Dont be specific with details in your posts and dont answer private emails from this site. Better safe than sorry.

Recently found out that two Chicagoland hospitals who outsourced to Nuance are paying them a whopping 15 to 15.5 cents per line for VR. With this being an almost virtual world now and very little overhead, it is a terrible injustice for Nuance to pay their MTs only a fraction/peanuts of what they are getting paid. I have a question about Smartype and I will try to make it so it is understandable:) I bought Instant Text because I had to have some way of moving my Smartype over into Word 2007 (I had Word 2002). I have Instant Text turned off until I learn the new platform on the new company I am with. My problem is this, the Smartype line will not move with the page so when I get to the bottom of the page it covers up everything at the bottom and I can only manually move Smartype by scrolling back up ...

Just got an offer with a company for 1.00 a page for medical transcription. I had thought when I applied it was some kind of insurance transcription but it turns out they are medical. I have been transcribing for many years from home and I usually use per line rates. However, I have a Dr. that is interested in using my service, but they send all the info by internet and I would just have to type everything up. I think it would be better if I used either per page or per report (their past MT used per report) rate. I am doing IMEs, and my doc wants to know if I can insert a pdf of the cover sheet he gets from the State as page one of the Word 2003 doc. He was faxing them in to SSD but now wants to convert to an electronic submission. In addition, he created one pdf with 10 different cover sheets, so each one is not a separate file.
