Is it just me or is there less auditing being done?? Probably the calm before the storm. I had gotten so used to nasty emails every one but haven't had any at all which is really unusual.
I think they finally realized that - that whole QC thing was a money waster

All the little nitpicking middle QC people were doing was costing them money, making the MTs madder because supposedly the QC audits didn't really count, but they were nasty and they hurt, and there were infinitely more incidences of infuriating and ridiculous audits from the QCs, whether they counted or not. And, let's face it, they were not entirely competent, some of them, so what was the point of that?
I think they realized that the scheme of taking money off us to give to them for finding errors was not working out the way they hoped, i.e., us MTs were the ones doing the actual WORK and they had already pared down our pay as much as possible, so where was the extra going to come from to pay all these nasty little QC bonuses?
I for one am glad that QC bonus thing never came to fruition. I am now just resigned to accepting the QA attack, as per usual, right before the quarter is finished to get us all just low enough so practically nobody gets a bonus, but at least we don't have to put up with the QC nonsense.
I wonder if they are going to do away with bonuses altogether, since it seems now no challenge will be reversed and I can't be the only one who at the end of every 3 months gets completely bombed by QA audits, and why else would that happen except to stop any bonuses?
That wouldn't bother me, just as long as the garbage pay scale doesn't go down any further, since after the first few soul crushing rug-pulled-out-from-under-me-after-3-months-and-not-getting-bonus I am now immune to that particular pain and find it much easier just to never expect a bonus.
I am probably mixing up the QA and QC again, as I always do, but please don't bother to explain it to me, because I really don't care. I just know some of the audits seemed to count and some didn't, and the ones that didn't count (yet) were done by the people who eventually were hoping to get bonuses off us, so not a favorite amongst us MTs, and those are the ones (mercifully) which seem to have stopped now. Thank goodness for that.
My TL told me that the QC done on all of my - accounts is now done in India.

Exasperating!!! - Shows that QC
[ In Reply To ..]and auditing work is easier than MT work if the Indians can do it but only do MT on the easier accounts. My experience is that accounts disappear to India when we have finally wrestled the voice wreck into reasonable functioning and have finally started to make a little money.
Makes sense now. I submitted challenge to - absurd correction. TSM refused saying

if they review at all of our work but because most are 100 percent, they don't upload to Fiesa, just choose ones with 99 percent or below and occasionally throw in one that is 100 percent to make it look good!! I do NOT trust anythng they do and would not put it past them. We have no way of listening to even make sure that what they audit us on is accurate. I am so paranoid that I think they may even change things that we type to make it an error! So disgusted..... ...

Seriously, the only person I trusted for corrections was my QC. If they are not going to be doing the audits, who is? MMEs are just upper grade MTs who were suckered into working for less pay. MModal has fired/laid off/chased off most of their competent MTs. I can hardly wait until I get my first (and probably last) required audit. Now in addition to monthly audits, we are receiving WEEKLY audits so they can pick through our work and find more "errors!" Got dinged for semicolon, dash, and even word that was not clear at all, but it is being "verified" and if "they" (whoever "they" are) can figure it out, I will be held accountable for that also!!! In almost every ASR report lately, there have been gross errors in the dosages of medications. In 1 report today, it had Colace 70 mg when the dictator clearly said 100 mg. Then in another report, it had Protonix 3 mg daily when the dictator said 40 mg daily. Watch your dosages closely!!!! Something is up! ...
