Does anyone know the pay for the advertised auditing jobs? - MTNOMORE

Just wondering if it's worth the transition in this company or if I should get away from Scruance entirely. (I love that word. Thank you to the original author.)

To me, the fact that they are advertising for MANY auditors is extremely telling. I don't buy the 1% to 2% of a day's reports being audited. I think it will be much higher than that in order to SCREW us even more.

I am so out of here after the first of the year. We have until 02/15/2015 to apply for Obamacare, so we won't have to pay COBRA if we leave before that date, which is my plan.

single mistake such as not changing VRs "a" to "the" and the like? How else would they justify slashing our pay? I'm sure they will pressure these new auditors to find and report every single mistake.....you couldn't force me to take THAT job. And the auditors are going to be looking hard for every little missed comma so they can keep THEIR jobs --- NOT good for the MTs....I really hope thi( bites Scruance (I like this too, so fitting) in the arse someday soon...I hope they lose all of their good MTs and I hope they then start losing their accounts. Better go hard and heavy on recruiting new Indians---although recently I read a blog by an Indian MT (tried to copy and paste it here but it wouldn't allow) --they are NOT that happy, either for a lot of reasons.

$12/hour when it's all said and done. I'm sure there will be ridiculous LPH requirements and they always have the accuracy thing anyway, same as MLS

We should switch jobs with the auditors, give them a taste of their own medicine and see how they like the amount of their pay checks to be determined by someone who doesn't work nearly as hard as they. Scruance is definitely pitting us against one another.

some auditors are "bailing" since they used to be able to do both MT and auditing. They were now told they had to make a choice - one or the other and could not do both so several I know chose to go to MT and quit auditing.

if they review at all of our work but because most are 100 percent, they don't upload to Fiesa, just choose ones with 99 percent or below and occasionally throw in one that is 100 percent to make it look good!! I do NOT trust anythng they do and would not put it past them. We have no way of listening to even make sure that what they audit us on is accurate. Seriously, the only person I trusted for corrections was my QC. If they are not going to be doing the audits, who is? MMEs are just upper grade MTs who were suckered into working for less pay. MModal has fired/laid off/chased off most of their competent MTs. I can hardly wait until I get my first (and probably last) required audit. Late last week I recieved an email communication about how they will only audit reports that were transcribed/edited during the current work week, only to log on this morning (I'm off Fri and Sat, so Sun morning is the 1st day of my week) to find that I had a post audit score below 99% that was audited on Saturday, so obviously it was edited last week sometime.
