I know I probably asked a million times already, but how am I supposed to gain experience if all of these companies was 2+ years? I have called a bunch of medical places around here and they either outsource, don't tell me where they outsource, and then they leave it at that. How am I supposed to get my foot in the door if that's the answer I am getting?
There is a woman who was in my program and she is still looking for employment, the rest of the people were hired by a company already!!!
Just off the top of my head, but do you still have contact with the “rest of the people” that were hired by a company already? Obviously, if they were hired, there are companies that hire newbies.
Can you contact them and ask for the name of the company they work for? Do you know them well enough to find out what made them stand out? – i.e. did they have a very high grade point average, did they intern first, did they know someone who already worked there, did they keep applying until someone gave in and hired them? Ask them what they think was the turning point of going from an un-hired newbie to a hired newbie.
It never hurts to ask and you may be surprised at what they may tell you. Maybe the “inside secret” will be just the thing to get you hired.
Good luck. Hang in there – if everyone else got hired, you will too.
