Never, in my 15 years with this company, has there been a time where I ran out of work on a weekend!

My CCM told me to try to make up time on Saturday so now we are all fighting over the same work.

I'm scheduled to begin Cornerstone training Monday morning. My account is a huge teaching hospital in California. My schedule will include the entire weekend. There are several others in my training group. Why would MQ be hiring new MTs to work the weekends if there is no work on the weekends? Just getting a bit worried about all these postings about no work.

I have no idea why the Q is constantly hiring MTs. I used to see their ad all the time on mtjobs.com. I just figured it was usually after a mass exodus, but now I have no clue why they are doing this or what they hope to accomplish, except to get rid of all the ones who were making an even remotely liveable wage. I wish you the good luck in your new job. I left the Q after receiving 2 pay cuts in the less than a year after they purchased Spheris, and then my account just disappeared one morning.... think I know where it went. So hope for the best, but prepare for the worst would be my advice. That's what I did anyway, and it worked for me. I put my foot out the door after the first pay cut, and the rest of me followed less than a year later....didn't even get a "don't let the door hit you in the --- when you leave" out of the Q!!! My supervisor, however, was great and we had a nice conversation on the phone with her wishing me well!!! But I had been with her for years!

24/7. You never know with Q. Every CCM has different BOB (book of business). Some regions have overtime and others sit with NJA (No Jobs Available). Roll the dice and see what happens. Either way, don't plan on making much money.

Same old yada, yada, yada. It seems like they set my minimum at too many lines for me to ever achieve it so I don't even try. BUT did you read the towards the bottom of the email where it says that the payout is Nov 25 EXCEPT for former spheris employees who will get their incentive $$ ON OR BEFORE NOV 5!!??? I work for the NorthEast section of Medquist and my supervisor wanted to verify all of our hours before we started getting locked-out of working hours other than our scheduled hours. My CCM has been harping on us voluntarily changing our scheduled to weekend hours, how "it won't hurt a bit" and you may quote me. I already work every Sunday, but they want me to now work a 6th day, splitting one of my other days where they no longer need me to work, into Friday evening hours. I've applied at Probity, Accentus and RI Transciption. Anyone currently working at these companies and if so, do they require weekend work? I cannot find any scheduling requirements such as Sunday-Thur or Tues through Saturday. I prefer M-F but I know that's out with most companies. Thanks !! ...

The only reason there is an incentive running and there is extra work is because the Indian government gives their employees a week off for the holiday and we are expected I mean supposed to be motivated by the incentive to work it for them. Google the Indian holidays for 2011 and you will see when our next incentive weekend will be- end of October. Good luck to anyone working, you are welcome to the work I won't be doing. ...
