NJA again after a full weekend of NJA - soapie12

and yet my CCM sent out a message requesting assistance on one of my accounts for this coming weekend. What the blazes! I have had NJA on all but one of those days she is requesting help for the last couple months. What is she thinking? It is quite obvious that the account is over staffed on a couple of those days and we will not need the help this week. Its frustrating as I am barely making enough to live on as it is due to constant NJA and now she is asking for help when we obviously don't need it. I do at least the minimum required lph and ramp it up when I know we are short a person and/or have a ton of work to get out on a particular day...to the point where I am literally pumping out more than twice the required lph. I don't think those employee surveys are working either as there doesn't seem to be any change in our NJA situation (as evidenced by everyone on this board posting about NJA NJA NJA). NJA is huge in determining employee satisfaction. Grrrr, its just so frustrating!

Thank you all who read this post for "listening", I just needed to vent as I sit here and wait for work yet again.

I guess we have the same CCM, - she gets her bonus!!!

the only time I have totally run out was the 4th of July thank God..would rather party then work any day..There are people that say they get unemployment for their NJA time? I dont know how, I tried and the state said no, North Carolina, that is..The only time I got anything was when we lost power from a storm for a week several yrs back..

I am north region. I haven't had enough work to keep me busy for my full shift every day for almost a year. I keep asking my CCM for more hospitals to be assigned to me but keep getting informed that she will when the work picks up or I get no answer at all. Well, I guess I just gave away who I am to any suit reading this. Oh well, I guess now they know the situation and how it affects some of us so badly we risk being fired. At least I'm lucky enough to have a hubby with a good job. If this were happening while I was still a single mom, I would have had to quit when Mmodal bought the company I was working for.

Same old yada, yada, yada. It seems like they set my minimum at too many lines for me to ever achieve it so I don't even try. BUT did you read the towards the bottom of the email where it says that the payout is Nov 25 EXCEPT for former spheris employees who will get their incentive $$ ON OR BEFORE NOV 5!!??? I work for the NorthEast section of Medquist and my supervisor wanted to verify all of our hours before we started getting locked-out of working hours other than our scheduled hours. My CCM has been harping on us voluntarily changing our scheduled to weekend hours, how "it won't hurt a bit" and you may quote me. I've applied at Probity, Accentus and RI Transciption. Anyone currently working at these companies and if so, do they require weekend work? I cannot find any scheduling requirements such as Sunday-Thur or Tues through Saturday. I prefer M-F but I know that's out with most companies. Thanks !! ...

The only reason there is an incentive running and there is extra work is because the Indian government gives their employees a week off for the holiday and we are expected I mean supposed to be motivated by the incentive to work it for them. Google the Indian holidays for 2011 and you will see when our next incentive weekend will be- end of October. Good luck to anyone working, you are welcome to the work I won't be doing. ...
