Says there are almost 300 jobs, asks for people to work OT all weekend -- and then bam 10 minutes later I run out of work. It just goes from bad to worse here.

I got that email, same number of jobs, asking for OT commitments. Ran out of work also. It makes me wonder if she's making up the backlog number to scare us. I preferred where our old HDSM gave us how many jobs and which account they were located in, instead of just the total number that is supposedly in her BOB. Ever since we merged, I rarely get my primaries anymore.

Mine does the same thing. Anything more than 3 reports and it's time for OT.

A while back I had a manager who ordered a bunch of new recruits in after a busy weekend and for the next month we were scraping up every smidgeon of work we could find. Then a week later they let some of us go and went back to constant demands for OT because we "lost too many people."

So I definitely feel for you. I think it's company wide. They are so nuts about TAT. Just so the hospital can get a hastily craft, poorly understood, and likely inaccurate document back faster, so illiterate moron doctors can have one more piece of paper they can't read while they practice their physical and financial butchery.

Ugh... my lunch break is over. Friday on my accounts always means trouble, hence my sunny disposition;) I'm not sure if only bad dictators work today or if I'm just specially assigned the worst because I'm an MT veteran. Either way, today is not going to be fun.

Yes, I'm one of those rare people who used to like her HDSM. When we changed to the POD system, the only thing that made me happy was that I kept her as my HDSM so I "knew I could talk to her." Back in August my very awesome HDSM was let go suddenly and our group was merged with another group.
