I have found out through the grapevine that my "HDSM" is out?.... What kind of "HDSM" doesn't send an email to her MT's letting them know whom to contact in her absence? Was I by chance the only one who didn't receive the email? My "HDSM" is BR.

That she was going on vacation. I didn't get the e-mail either. I don't miss her or her MOT e-mails.

I wonder why some received her email & some didn't. I finally got an answer from another HDSM & she states BR will be back Friday.

Sorry for confusion. It was the first thing listed in the Friday Update. If you don't at least glance at that, you would have missed it. BR never sent a text.

I read ALL Friday updates so obviously I did not get that either, so no wonder I wasn't aware she was out, but then again some gave said they got an email about her being out?... I really feel QA & HSMD need to get it together. They need to focus on themselves a bit more & if that iffends any one I'm sorry but it's true.

It's probably one of the MT'S who got BR'S email about being gone, or maybe BR herself. No worries, my feelings aren't hurt! :)

When that person mentioned an email about BR going on vacation, I didn't think it was my BR as I didn't get an email and she is usually good about that, but sure enough she's gone. I have a gut feeling she's getting burned out. I don't blame her either. If I know the new vice prez, he's breathing down her neck about TAT, and he can be unrealistically demanding and harsh at times.

Actually, with the lack of emails from all my bosses, it seems everyone is getting burned out.

I believe he had a very close relationship with the past VP who left a couple months ago. The most likely reason why he is where he is.

I Don't Get It - HDSM Who?

What does the HDSM have to do with the MT? We know the PCs are there to regurgitate how much they love us and hate us depending on how well we interpret unintelligible Client Profiles and we know the TSA is there to...well whatever the position its not to actually 'help' the MT. But what does the HDSM position have to do with the MT? In fact, I don't think we have even heard from our HDSM since she took over from the last one who was rarely there, but nonetheless liked to 'entertain' us with her lengthy life stories, and the one before that who was actually top notch in scheduling and getting the work completed in a timely manner, so of course MM let her go. So, again, I ask what does the HDSM have to do with the MT?

Yes, I'm one of those rare people who used to like her HDSM. When we changed to the POD system, the only thing that made me happy was that I kept her as my HDSM so I "knew I could talk to her." Whenever I've had an issue, I was able to call her or email her and request a call, and she always called and we always smoothed over the issue. That was then. This is now. Breathed a sigh of relief when I read that. It is so nice to know I will get a week's vacation from the useless e-mails -- now if only the PCs would take some time off. Back in August my very awesome HDSM was let go suddenly and our group was merged with another group.
